CNN Being Sued For Racism...?! - BIAD - 12-12-2016
Black Employees Suing CNN for Racial Discrimination.
'A group of current and former black employees of CNN cable news network,
Turner Broadcasting, and parent company Time Warner have filed a lawsuit
alleging racial discrimination, a report says.
The class-action suit was filed after an earlier case involving CNN employee
DeWayne Walker was filed, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“As a result of the current discrimination lawsuit filed on behalf of DeWayne
Walker vs. CNN, Time Warner & Turner, we have uncovered stories involving
abuse of power, nepotism, revenge, retaliation and discrimination,” attorney
Daniel Meachum said in a press release announcing the lawsuit.
Walker, who has worked for 13 years at CNN as an integrated marketing
manager, had filed a previous lawsuit alleging that the network repeatedly
passed him over for promotion because he is black.
He also claimed that CNN retaliated against him for filing a discrimination
complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The employee is demanding $50 million in damages.
Only two employees are named as plaintiffs in the class-action case:
Celeslie Henley, a former executive administrative assistant at CNN, and
Ernest Colbert Jr., a senior manager at Turner Broadcasting Systems.
But Meachum alleges that up to 30 other insiders helped them gather information
on the “company-wide pattern and practice” of discrimination that he claims
has gone on for at least 20 years...'

If they cant handle the corporate ratrace then maybe they should go dig ditches instead of filing frivolous lawsuits .......

It's today's current way of schoolyard thinking. You don't like me because of something I know will
make you embarrassed in the politically-correct world!
It's irrelevant whether it's factual or not, I just know it's embarrassing and that's a great tool to get
what you want!
It can never be that others see you as less than qualified or just plain-crap at your work... no-no.
That would mean the easy western, first-world perception you have of yourself may have to be
looked at and... well, I may have to, have to... do something my Pa said and 'grow a pair'!!

I'm not racist, but I have seen the "race card" used so many times where I used to work, it made me sick!
And the bad thing... it worked! Others more qualified got passed over simply because someone with black skin applied for the same job, and the State didn't want to get involved in a law suit, so the black person automatically got the job.
It was to the point I was ready to file a racist suit because my skin was white!
I don't know this man's situation; he might very well be more qualified, but if I had to guess, I'd say he's just taking advantage of the color of his skin.
