France & Its Fiery Religious Problem.
#1
As the famous Parisian Notre-Dame Cathedral burns, we're reminded of this article in last month's Newsweek.

Quote:CATHOLIC CHURCHES ARE BEING DESECRATED ACROSS FRANCE.

'France has seen a spate of attacks against Catholic churches since the start of the year, vandalism
hat has included arson and desecration.

Vandals have smashed statues, knocked down tabernacles, scattered or destroyed the Eucharist and
torn down crosses, sparking fears of a rise in anti-Catholic sentiment in the country.

Last Sunday, the historic Church of St. Sulpice in Paris was set on fire just after midday mass on Sunday,
Le Parisien reported, although no one was injured. Police are still investigating the attack, which firefighters
have confidently attributed to arson.

Built in the 17th century, St. Sulpice houses three works by the Romantic painter Eugene de la Croix, and
was used in the movie adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. Last month, at the St. Nicholas Catholic
Church in Houilles, in north-central France, a statue of the Virgin Mary was found smashed, and the altar cross
had been thrown on the ground, according to  La Croix International, a Catholic publication.

Also in February, at Saint-Alain Cathedral in Lavaur, in south-central France, an altar cloth was burned and crosses
and statues of saints were smashed. The attack prompted Lavaur Mayor Bernard Canyon to say in a statement:
“God will forgive. Not me.”

And in the southern city of Nimes, near the Spanish border, vandals looted the altar of the church of Notre-Dame
des Enfants (Our Lady of the Children) and smeared a cross with human excrement. Consecrated hosts made
from unleavened bread, which Catholics believe to be the body of Jesus Christ, were taken and found scattered
among rubbish outside the building.

Bishop Robert Wattebled of Nimes said in a statement: “This greatly affects our diocesan community. The sign of the
cross and the Blessed Sacrament have been the subject of serious injurious actions. “This act of profanation hurts us
all in our deepest convictions,” he added, according to The Tablet, which reported that in February alone there had
been a record 47 documented attacks on churches and religious sites.

The Vienna-based Observatory of Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, which was founded in
cooperation with the Council of European Bishops Conferences (CCEE) but is now independent said there had been
a 25 percent increase in attacks on Catholic churches in the first two months of the year, compared with the same time
last year.

Its executive director, Ellen Fantini, told Newsweek that while in many cases the motive for the attacks was not known,
France faced growing problems with anti-Christian violence, especially by anarchist and feminist groups.

“I think there is a rising hostility in France against the church and its symbols," but "it seems to be more against Christianity
and the symbols of Christianity.

“These attacks are on symbols that are really sacred to parishioners, to Catholics. Desecration of consecrated hosts is a
very personal attack on Catholicism and Christianity, more than spray-painting a slogan on the outside wall of a church.”
She said that while France had a long tradition of secularism, it was seen as a culturally Christian country, and so any "attack
on the church as a symbol of religion was also an attack on authority and patrimony.

"The pressure is coming from the radical secularists or anti-religion groups as well as feminist activists who tend to target
churches as a symbol of the patriarchy that needs to be dismantled," she added. On February 9, the altar at the church of
Notre-Dame in Dijon, the capital of the Burgundy region, was also broken into. The hosts were taken from the tabernacle,
which adorns the altar at the front of the church, and scattered on the ground.

Last month, the Prime Minister Edouard Phillipe met French church leaders and said in a statement: “In our secular Republic,
places of worship are respected. Such acts shock me and must be unanimously condemned.” Last month, the secretary general
of the Bishops’ Conference, Olivier Ribadeau-Dumas, told France Culture that desecration of a church was not the same as a
common burglary.

“To  open the tabernacle, to take the hosts and to profane what for us is the basis of our faith, that is to say the presence of
Jesus Christ in the hosts is something that is terrible for us.
Senior Figures within the French Catholic Church expressed their sorrow at the rise in attacks on symbols of their faith...'

Retaliation? Just the Deep State players having fun trying to create a holy war? There's more to this than meets the eye.

I came across this tweet that is interesting:

ALERT!
French Media reported there were no construction workers at the time of the fire at cathédrale Notre Dame & the Church was closed So WHY is there a video of person at one of the the 2 towers half an hour after the start of the fire? Anyone have more info?

There is a video that shows someone walking in the church. You'll have to view it here:  Twitter video link

It is also kind of odd that Shepard Smith cut a caller off as he was saying this was no accident; he wouldn't let him finish. I saved that tweet to my wall, but now it's gone.  THANKS TWITTER!!!

So far on the grapevine I have heard three main ideas about this fire.

1. It was done on the orders of islam to show who is in control
2. It was done on the orders of Macron to try and stop the yellow vests by making them feel ashamed of demonstrating
3. It was done on the order of the Pope because the church offended muslims

So on this one I shall just wait and see, but I dont think the truth will ever be told

@MW, I looked at the short video and to me it was a person in a Hi Vis vest with a helmet. So it was in my mind an engineer sent there to check for any damage. As a rule an arsonist does not stay in the building that he/she has set alight, stand outside and watch it burn, yes but not in the building.

Coverage of the fire by IPOT (In Pursuit of Truth).

He shows footage of the man who called in to the news station who was cut off during the call by Shepard Smith.
It starts around the 12:57 mark.

Its strange that this attack has brought so many people together so powerfully. It seems that deep inside of us there lives a little bit of the thing that makes us good

I implied a while back that a 'counter-change' was underway to realign the parameters of social discourse
in the west, that fire -I believe, is a small part of it.

I also believe that people are starting to search for there roots. Things have swung too far away, people feel lost and with out roots, as BIAD said the counter swing has started
It might be that now islan has seen the reaction to this fire that there might be a "fire" at a large mosque soon so that can prove how much muslims love God

Quote:Notre Dame fire caused by 'computer glitch' rector reveals

'Rector Patrick Chauvet, who is responsible for the building's administration, made the claim during a meeting
of local business owners. He adding that "we may find out what happened in two or three months".

On Thursday, French police investigators said they think an electrical short-circuit was the most likely cause of the fire.
Le Parisien, the French newspaper, has reported that a fire an alarm went off at Notre Dame shortly after 6pm Monday
but a faulty computer showed the growing blaze in the wrong place.

The paper also reported the flames may have been sparked by an electrical problem in an elevator at the bottom of the
cathedral's giant spire. Rector Chauvet added that there were fire alarms throughout the ancient building, describing it
as "well protected".

Judith Kagan, a conservation official at France's Culture Ministry, said the artworks inside Notre Dame had suffered
no major damage from the fire. The pieces were being removed from the building for their protection, he added.

Over $1 billion (£770m) has already poured in from people from all walks of life around the world to restore Notre Dame.

Some billionaire philanthropists have stepped up, as well as normal Brits using a website set up by the National Funding
Scheme charity.

The world watched in horror earlier this week as the famous monument burned, with French Christians filmed bursting into
song in the streets. An array of treasures were seen being rushed from the cathedral by a "human chain”, including gilded
candlesticks, artworks and furnishings.

Amazingly some of the cathedral's most precious objects, including a relic purported to be the crown of thorns worn by
Jesus Christ on the cross, were saved...'
Daily Star:

"we may find out what happened in two or three months"  Yeah, but not what really happened.

Its a wonder they did not report the cause of the fire before the fire started

I can understand that in the current climate of religious-fear, that many scour images for proof that
an enemy-ideology may have lit Notre Dame Cathedral. It's an extreme act, but the mainstream media
have lured their doubters into thinking on that level for the sake of ratings.

But the timing alone makes it suspicious, regardless of the sparse reporting of other Christian buildings
being defiled in France. The article above isn't a real view on what caused the fire, it's merely a possible
excuse for delay of dealing with the immediate situation and ignorantly implies smoke-alarms are not
trustworthy.

Poor journalism that doesn't have the balls to propose what many think.

If you do nothing else today, make time to watch the first 30 minutes of this video.  It appears our history was written centuries ago, and is playing out now before our eyes. Fascinating stuff!

One could be forgiven if the idea of sleeper-cells, a subtle invasion and an inborn weakness for those who
govern a country, could be arrived at due to the evidence.

Violence, a fall in social standards and a constant wariness of each other are not natural communal traits
and yet, the terror continues, the same ideology is blamed for promoting the violence and the media fails
to recognise the pattern.

Quote:Paris police killings: Attacker showed signs of 'radicalisation'.

'A man who stabbed four people to death at police headquarters in Paris adhered to a radical version
of Islam, anti-terrorist prosecutors say. Mickaël Harpon had contact with members of the Salafist movement,
prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard said.

He had exchanged text messages of a religious nature with his wife before Thursday's attack, the prosecutor said.
He also defended the deadly 2015 attack on the magazine Charlie Hebdo and other atrocities, Mr Ricard said.
Anti-terror investigators took over the inquiry on Friday. It was initially regarded as a criminal matter.

The 45-year-old IT expert, who worked at the police headquarters, was shot dead on Thursday by a junior police
officer after he attacked colleagues in several offices at the central police building.

What do we know about the attacker?
Harpon had converted to Islam and had been in contact with the Salafist movement, Mr Ricard said, in reference
to the ultra-conservative Islamic ideology. The attacker "agreed with certain atrocities committed in the name of
that religion", he said.

Among them was the Charlie Hebdo attack in 2015, when Islamist gunmen killed 11 people in the Paris office
of the satirical magazine, before shooting dead a policeman outside. The prosecutor also noted that the killer
had changed his style of clothing in recent months and had cut off contact with women.

Police earlier seized computer equipment during a search of the attacker's home in the north of the city.
His wife on Friday reportedly told police that he had been incoherent and had heard voices the night before the
attack.

What happened?
The employee entered the building around lunchtime on Thursday, and proceeded to attack his colleagues with a
kitchen knife. He stabbed three people inside two offices and two women on a stairway, before he was shot dead
by an officer inside the building's courtyard.

Three men and one woman were killed. A fifth person was seriously injured.
The police building is near major tourist sites including Notre-Dame cathedral...'

For some odd reason, this thread by 727Sky comes to immediate mind...

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
