It took some trial & error for me.

I first upload the image(s) to https://imgur.com/upload

Then copy the "image" URL and paste it into the post edit window.

If you hit the reply button to my post above (then click the top far right button (view source) in the edit bar you'll see the BB code required.

I probably did a crappy job esplaining.

Personally, I save the image (from my computer) by using the 'Choose File' button and then post my reply.
Then I open the thumbnail by clicking on it and then by using the 'Insert An Image' icon located in the fourth
box above where one's text is typed, insert the URL where asked -but not before I decide where to place the
image within the text. This is done by using the Edit button on your posted thread to reopen and attach the
saved image.

If the image is straight from the internet, post the image's URL straight into the same icon.
