After a three week operation involving multiple agencies, law enforcement officers managed to locate and recover 70 missing children, most of them in West Texas, according to a May 25 news release by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The missing children and teens, many of whom were runaways, ranged in age from 10 to 17 years old and were victims of sex trafficking and physical and sexual abuse. Headed by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) El Paso, and assisted by numerous other federal, state, and local agencies, “Operation Lost Souls” ran from the end of April through mid-May El Paso, Texas, and the Texas counties of Midland, Ector, and Tom Green.
Although a majority of the children were located in West Texas, a few were also recovered from the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the state of Colorado, and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Results of the operation were published on May 25, which is National Missing Children’s Day.
“HSI is committed to continue working with our law enforcement partners to locate, recover and help missing children heal, while ensuring that perpetrators are held responsible for these heinous crimes and brought to justice,” said Taekuk Cho, HSI El Paso’s deputy special agent in charge.
The agencies have provided victim services and counseling to the recovered children and their families.
The ICE announcement follows the capturing and charging of eight individuals connected with the alleged trafficking and exploitation of a 15-year-old girl from a Dallas Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center arena in Dallas on April 8.
The girl went missing after she separated from her father to use the bathroom. Later on, she was seen leaving the arena with an unknown man.
A few days later, the Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative found the girl’s photos on a website associated with prostitution. She was rescued April 18 when authorities located her at an Extended Stay America hotel in Oklahoma City.
“We are thankful for the work of the Oklahoma City Police Department and the recovery of our daughter. My heart breaks for the unimaginable things my daughter had to endure for the 11 days she was taken, and I am so glad she is safe as we work toward her recovery,” the girl’s mother said in a May 5 statement, according to multiple media outlets.
Upon her disappearance from the arena, the father of the girl was instructed to return back home. According to Texas law, in the absence of evidence of kidnapping, missing children are registered as runaways.
Despite pleas from the father, the Dallas Police Department refused to open an investigation into the matter, according to Zeke Fortenberry, the family’s attorney.
“The systems and organizations involved in this case continually failed the victim. She should never have had contact with the man at the Mavericks game,” Fortenberry said, according to Fox News. “This victim’s life will forever be changed.”
Due to the nature of the investigation, further information regarding the 70 recovered children has not been released by the HSI.

I am glad this is out there, but it does not come close to telling all of it.

I cannot share some of the things that are more common than you will allow yourself to believe, going on right in your own communities.

Between the, "This would never happen to me...", and the, "My child would never ....",
Is a lot of traumatized young folk that will never come forward, so they will never be counted in the growing list of these kind of crimes.

Parents hand the tools of these crimes over to their children before their vocabulary even reaches 300 words. They have no idea how they are handicapping their children and how they are just adding one more child to the market.

There are people that have only one job. That job is to procure your children. They are masters at their game.

I have been fighting this battle for eight years. My latest encounter was just on Monday past. I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

The internet is so much stronger than we want to admit. We want to think we are different. That we have control. That we are savvy to all the tricks, hacks, games, and deceptions of the internet.

That single lie we tell ourselves is the reason why the internet is so strong and effective. Why we are trapped in a gilded cage where owning the key, still holds you prisoner.

Good news indeed.

It makes me suspicious how this gets almost no coverage compared to other events.

I used to think David Icke and Alex Jones were out to lunch about the pedo's in highs places. Now? I'm not so sure. It sure looks that way.

Pedophilia has been going on since the beginning of time. So much so, that in some cultures it is considered "normal".

Since that word changes meaning every decade or so, for me it does not carry a lot of weight, in itself.

I will get hanged for this, but I think that part of the primordial male psyche, includes the submission of the female. I think the smaller and the weaker the female, the easier it is for the male to control. The male psyche creates a desire for dominance, ownership, and control, and is very strong in some males, and some have no desire to restrain themselves.

Speaking from the origin of the male, female relationship, I would think that it is based on instincts, much like male female relationships in the rest of the animal kingdom.

Being supposedly big brained and we are supposed to have the ability to logically adapt to our environment, including the impact it has on us, and our impact on the environment, and in our ability to provide a sustainable world. It would seem that all logic would make it easy to understand the impact of age on producing and sustaining of life.

The number of young girls that died in child birth, made it extremely evident that a female had to reach the optimum age for procreation. That there was a time that was too soon, and a time that was too late. The need to protect children if there was to be hope of generations to follow, included keeping a child "pure" prior to marriage and before beginning the acts that were necessary for procreation. This was so important that it became law.

All of this to say that time, history, and a moral compass, seems to shout that any person that thinks it is okay to have sex with a child, is not human, they are depraved animals.

Just saying.

Not arguing, just curious. What about all the female school teachers who have sex with their underage male students?

Pedophilia among men leans more to a primordial foundation. It is an act that is related to the traditional and accepted male role of being the master.

Pedophilia among women leans more towards women taking on the role of the seductress. She is likely a female that feels she is lacking excitement in the bedroom, and feels she is not as desirable to an adult male, so is attempting to fulfill her desire to be a femm-fatale, and likes feeling the power of taking on a male role of dominance.

In both cases the idea of taking the forbidden fruit, may add to the pleasure of walking on the edge.

I find it very difficult to understand why a man or woman finds a child sexually desirable. I think is is purely about domination and control. For men it is a desire to fulfill his feelings of being master. In women it is more about either feeling powerful because she can control the actions of a child, she thinks she is doing the child a favor, and making them feel special. She is likely lacking in those desires being met in an adult relationship, so plays out the role of Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Jones.

In both cases I dont think it is not as much about sex, as it is the fulfillment of their desire to be in control and the fulfillment of depraved selfish desires.

In both cases, the have given up their humanity and have become animals.

Thanks for that.

You provided more insight than I could. To me it's just yuck. They are taking advantage someone who is not an adult. Someone who cannot make adult choices.

And the preponderance of pedo's in positions of power all over the world. Really weird. And more yuck of course.
