Last year History repeated itself, Afghanistan where the USA was engaged for 20 years was abandoned to its fate by the same buffoon.
Lives were wasted, Americans citizens and supporters and $85 billion in war materials, supplies and cash was abandoned to the Taliban.
Now our brothers and sisters who served in Afghanistan understand how we feel and we share their pain as well. Tomorrow, I shall proudly fly the flag of the Republic of Vietnam:
to honor those for whose freedom we fought and sacrificed.
May the souls of our departed brother and sister veterans, both American and South Vietnamese, rest in peace and may we remember proudly that we fought for the freedom of South Vietnam.
