Why medical cost are so high

Corrupt and money grubbing bastards

What Americans who are not ex-pats don't often realize is that American medical insurance is often much more reasonably priced outside of the USA.

The "why" to that is because the systems of medical costs in other countries aren't as absurdly high as they are in the States.

Cheers

Not just insurance, but drugs too. The same exact drugs that cost 80 bucks a refill here can be had in Mexico City for 8 bucks.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

It is frustrating. The same thing happens all over the place.

A hospital is not full of medical personnel. It is full of lots of staff who never see a patient. And that staff all have to get a paycheck.

Health and well-being are NOT the goals of this type of organization. Just getting you in the door and charging you for any and everything. If you live, that's great but if you die that is profitable too.

My question is what happens when you have a population unable to fund this parasitic operation?
