i often say Florida was better off, when everybody thought we were just a bunch of dumb rednecks that didn't know any better. then they started moving down in droves, i may have to find me a new state when my mother passes. thing is she may live to be as old as her pop did, he died at 99. that's 20 more years.
I am in the same boat. My Mother is near 90. She will go anywhere I go, but she loves it here. We are surrounded with new construction, new towns, and new cities. We are being pushed out by gentrification, increased taxes, and ridiculously absurd new code restrictions and demands.
I don't think I will be able to remain here if it continues the way it is going. But everywhere is seeing the same thing happening.
So, if you find a place, that has not fallen and won't fall in the next 20 years, let me know.
For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.
