Or they are marketing to the people groups that are still watching TV.
TV is pretty much dead in the water. I don't look at it any more, and most people I know, do not look at TV on a regular basis.
So I guess they have to cater to their most likely demographic. Or annoy people enough to get their attention. When I was in university, a gazillion years ago, an instructor informed us that most commercials were considered effective, if they offended your sensibilities or your intelligence. So I guess their commercials are very effective.
