What Is Beauty?
#21
Star
Explanation: Here are some sayings I borrowed ...

On Youth ...

Quote:Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth
oh nevermind;
you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded
But trust me, in 20 years you'll look back at photos of yourself
and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked...
You are not as fat as you imagine

On Self Esteem ...

Quote:The schools now… It is all about self-esteem in the schools now.
Build the kids' self-esteem, make them feel good about themselves.
If everybody grows up with high self-esteem, who is going to dance in our strip clubs?
What's going to happen to our porno industry?
These women don't just grown on trees.
It takes lots of drunk dads missing dance recitals before you decide to blow a goat on the internet for fifty bucks.
And if that disappears, where does that leave me on a Friday night with my new high speed connection?

On Cosmetics ...

Quote:Companies invest millions of dollars hiring specialists
To make little girls feel like they need make-up to be beautiful
Permanently lowering their self-esteem
Because they will never be pretty enough
To meet those impossible standards

Personal Disclosure: On Beauty ...

Quote:Kahlil Gibran on Beauty

Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror.” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet.

And just remember that if you can't be good, then be colorful ok!

OL at beez - "Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, it's a straw, you see? Watch it. Now my straw reaches across the room and starts to drink your milkshake. I... drink... your... milkshake. I drink it up!"

Do not engage in useless activity ... and ... from one thing, know many things!

Think Globally, Act Locally, Feel Internally ... Wash, Rinse, Dry and Repeat!

It's Just A Ride!

Yup. Beautiful and true.

True, heart breaking, and not likely to change. As he suggested, we have become conditioned to condition our condition is in.

The millions are returned ten fold, as we continue to embrace the ideas that we have little value outside of entertaining the rich, powerful and elite. They did one Hell of an amazing job of enslaving us. They did such a good job they even let us hold our keys to our own gilded cages.

I don't fret over over my lack of physical beauty. I have seen it be of little value for the majority of those of unusual beauty that I know personally.

And just remember that if you can't be good, then be colorful ok!

Okay! I am working on my internal beauty because I am at war with the self that can't pass on the, "just three pennies more".

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove
