Posting a picture or a GIF with IMGUR..

Hey folks,

I know a LOT of you are struggling to put pictures or GIFs into your posts SO....


Let me show you how I do it. It's free and easy. Extremely easy.


I normally open the next tab to my RN post to sign into IMGUR. So then it's just navigating from IMGUR to RN to post the pic or gif.


But first, you will need to create an account at IMGUR: (It's free and all your pics and gifs being saved there will not harm the RN3 bandwidth).


Sign into IMGUR HERE.


Once you've created your account, you will need to save the page in your favorites and return to it by signing in, as shown here:





When you've signed in, you will need to go to your username, on the top right hand side and click on it, as shown here:





This will open a window under your username and you will need to click on "images" to load up your image or your gif, as shown here:





On the new window that has opened, you will need to click on the "Add images button", as shown here:





Now on this window that just opened, you have two choices. If your picture or gif is on your desktop, you may drag it to the center of the window to load up.

Or you can click the "Browse button" to search your computer files and upload your image, as shown here:





The image or gif you've uploaded will always upload on your top left hand side corner, as shown here:





Clicking on the image will open a new window, so that you can copy the image to your post, (The RN3 site uses BBCode), so you will need to click the BBCode button, as shown here:





You've noticed that by clicking the BBCode button, the code highlighted in green, right?







That's it. Go to your post and just hit Control V (Ctrl and then v) to paste the code and boom...your pic or gif is uploaded to your post.


You may want to click the "Preview Post" in between the "Post reply or thread" and "Save as draft" buttons.




Give it a few tries. It becomes extremely easy once you've done it a few times.
