Staggering pilot shortage

@"727Sky"  We appreciate you and Your contribution here, I didn't know these guys and gals that are suppose to be qualifying as pilots can only push a button and hope for the best.
I'm with you, I'd prefer an old pilot that can put his hands and feet to work.

I remember when I first went to work for the airlines and thinking "get out of my seat" to the Captain and his seat......... But after a few months and the different things I saw I finally figured out there was more to the job than just flying the aircraft.. The job tends to wear the pointy edges off of some loose cannons while it also polishes those who were made for the job..

Nothing replaces experience and knowledge IMO.. I am just glad I retired before a pilot with a wire stuck up his butt to monitor vitals and the aircraft arrived.. I am not into butt anything on my body..
