Yes, they did a really good job, if it is a fake.
I won't rule it out because something like this has been spotted by too many people over the years. Surely, not all of them are lying.
Why would they want to say such a thing when it would only make them sound crazy?
I experienced something similar myself. I can't say what it was; either a pterodactyl, or the New Jersey Devil. Dang it, I wished I'd had the nerve to look out the window when I was a kid so I wouldn't have been wondering all these years.
