Personally, I believe the damage caused in our societies from teaching people to hate themselves, does far more damage than teaching people to hate others.
Teaching people to hate others, for no other reason than the way they were born, is pathetic, and keeps the bar low. So feeling you are better than, comes at no cost, and keeps you from being all that you can be. Makes you feel entitled, and gives you excuses for mistreating others.
Being taught that you are less than, for something that you were born with, and cannot change, keeps you from trying, makes you feel angry, and trapped, with nothing to lose.
Hate destroys the soul, regardless if you are the hater or the hated. Without a soul, we are no longer human.
Just the way I see it.
