I live in the boonies and quite frankly, for a lot of items Amazon is my only choice. There are no stores near me to get somethings I need.
Yes, it feels like being over a barrel but at the same time I am grateful there is an option.
Prices have risen all over the place, and I agree that Amazon is no exception. Prime used to be really cool. Then the lockdowns hit and shipping came later and later.
I still have to do my due diligence on shopping. You are right, sometimes there are better deals elsewhere and I go that way then. Recently found a deal on an item that saved me 37% outside of Amazon. Jumped on it.
