Just curious where these folks families were? I understand some may not have any.
What a hot mess.
My wife's mom stayed with us for years during declining health until she passed away. In the end she was with her family. She was afforded peace and dignity of going on in her own home, her own room, her own bed. Back in the day that's just the way it was. Having experienced the whole thing myself, I have difficulty understanding why some people are opposed to it.
