South African unrest... or "Mostly Peaceful Protests'

Just quite recently SA and China started closer relationship, and now the country is on fire. Look`s like China is taking over there bit by bit....So wondering is China behind the looting etc ...

China, the colonizer of Southern Africa

South Africa has always been chaotic and dangerous, at least as long as I can remember.

Just after we divorced. my first wife decided to go on a missions trip to South Africa, to work at an AIDS orphanage, and came to me to ask what vaccines she would need to get for such a trip. I mentioned to her that I didn't think they had developed any vaccines against bullets, rape, and torture while I was going over the vaccines she could get to protect herself.  She went anyhow, and managed to make it back, but I hear in the wind she's in a wheelchair now. I don't know if it's connected or not - that was 27 years ago.

China has been colonizing Africa for decades now. During the war in Rhodesia, the Rhodesians were mostly farmers, had no production capacity for guns or ammunition, and had to smuggle in their arms around an embargo. Once the communists won, and Mugabe was in power, the Red Chinese very thoughtfully moved in and built them production facilities for arms and ammunition. What was once known as "The bread Basket of Africa" was transformed into a third world shit hole practically over night. Farming stopped as the white farmers were dispossessed of their lands, which were given to former guerrilla fighters, who had no interest in farming - they just wanted to own the land, then let it lay there fallow.

South Africa did assist the Rhodesian government by buying arms, like FN-FALs from Belgium and producing some locally, and smuggling them in to Rhodesia so they could defend themselves, after sanitizing them by removing all the markings that could trace the guns. Then, it seems that Zimbabwe (the name they changed Rhodesia to) returned the favor and armed the ANC and SWAPO with Chinese built weapons during their fight against the government in SA.

There was a time that Chinese AKs were so plentiful in Africa that one could be picked up for the price of a bag of corn - about 6 dollars US at the time. China, the Soviet Union, and Cuba (in Angola and Namibia) have been at the business of destabilizing Africa for a very long time. So the CCP destabilizes South Africa, then when the ANC takes over the reins of government, the CCP moves right in and cozies up.

Funny how the US gets all the credit for destabilizing the continent, isn't it?

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
