Media in Germany is almost all a right hand for Merkel's government.
The Germans, as ever, are children in terms of being politically aware. They devour the government line and tut-tut fiercely to anyone who dares to question it. I dread the day they wake up and realize they've been lied to for a long time, for the Teutonic Furor is no joke.
German media firms also have a wide reach all over the EU via ownership of media firms in those countries.
They love the American Dems and the American Dems love them. Note well that Germany strongly controls freedom of expression via a system of regularly enforced laws concerning slander, insult, and "bad-talking"; exactly what the American Dems want to impose on the USA.
