It needs to get shut down then looked at in a whole different way.
We could all just decide to throw in the towel and give up on anything we really want and pursue the cheese at the end of the rat race. Go ahead and live the life they expect you too, the hell with anything else in your life, at least you're a hard working go getter, paying your bills, building up credit, making your will and buying that plot. Just don't let the vultures get your wealth after you bite the big one, because at least then someone you choose will enjoy the blood, sweat and tears of your wasted life while you toiled to get the man in a suit a new car.
Of course, all this CORONA virus shutdown is a BS excuse, but it plays on the feeling we all have that we have all been played to death already.
A change needs to happen in a big way and it is one that decentralizes power and puts it in the hands of the individual citizen, but I'm afraid not enough of us will take responsibility for that even if it happens.
