Every Republican AND every Democrat who votes for it should be voted out - that's exactly why Obama is waiting until after 8 November to call the floor vote. He knows it's a political career killer, and is hoping to sway the votes in the aftermath of the elections, AFTER all the voting is over, when they can't be voted out for a few more years.
There IS, however, such a thing as "recall elections". maybe they should keep that in mind, because I don't think the fairies in La-La Land have figured out just how strong the opposition to it is in both parties.
