the hippie socialists got in positions of power in government, business, and the most important one in my opinion education. in that position they could and did push their views on the younger generations, who in turn moved up like them and so on. it's no doubt in my mind that is why we're in the place we are now as a nation or in the world for that matter.

It's interesting when you can see that from within the borders of another country.  I saw the exact same thing you describe 'take over' South Korea.  Goddamned Communists in the South Korea universities sat back and fired up the students and sent them out all the time with Molotov Cocktails.  Would love to share a war story about that, but I don't wanna hear an unexpected knock at my door either.

Keep in mind what happened to the first elected female president of that country.  Sentenced for the 'same crimes' twice ... she'll never be released as long as the commies are in power ... and since those are the only choices the people are given to vote for ... you get the picture.  She didn't even do anything except win the election.  Then she was impeached and prosecuted.  She should have fought back and purged all of those bastards right out of the country.  Marched 'em north right through the minefields of the DMZ into North Korea for good.  But ... she was weak.

I think the 2016 elections woke me up.  I had lost faith in Joe America ... and then, all of a sudden, he showed up.  Too bad the best we got as a 3d party candidate was Donald Trump.  Had I been elected somebody would have had to come up with something a LOT more devastating than the damned Corona Virus.  I'd have brought in the militia from all 50 states, and you would have see the swamp completely purged in a matter of hours.

But, as a realist, I know the old (us) are gonna keep getting older ... and the ranks of the young will continue to swell.  Fuck 'em!!
