Those are some really good questions. When ai was still working, I learned about ACE. They actually had us take a test where we got a general idea about our score. I took the test home to my husband and had him take it. His score was so high. His childhood was awful. He’s in a nursing home now. I sometimes wonder if things would have been different if he had a “normal” childhood.
I believe that stress adds up and accumulates in the body as chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation has been linked to autoimmune diseases, heart disease, diabetes, etc.
I agree with you that prevention should be looked at more, and that doctors should try and evaluate people in their annual physical with an ACE test and look at being proactive. It raises some very good points.
