Once the churches started getting shot up, my church started letting two concealed carriers sit in the foyer of the church, armed. My dad sits there - when it's his turn - like Tackleberry with a 9mm on one side and his .44 Magnum Hogleg on the other. I shot his hogleg on the back of my property and at 6'2 230, it would have knocked me off of my feet if I didn't have my back foot planted. I gave it back to him and pulled out my then-seemingly wimpy .357. Thanks, dad.
