I have asked myself the same question about the lights … It could be as simple as a flag waving mission. Us Earthlings can not touch them with anything so light this puppy up and show what you got....Make the Earthlings think there is more to the universe that what they think is possible..
You can bet the black budget cutouts and the military pay attention no matter what they say to the public.
