Instead of calling these things "super waves", they should instead dub them "magic waves", because they defy physics.
Properties:
1) they are compose of some sort of "energy", although what sort is unspecified.
2) they create "negative gravity", which would be a really neat trick.
3) they have some sort of "radiation" that is, apparently, strong enough to overcome the Van Allen Belts, since they are supposed to affect life on the surface of Earth,
and, finally, 4) they have some sort of magical psychological effect.
