Could Obama be working in his own sense of good faith?
#5
I think I also read somewhere that Bat Boy was last seen coming out of a barn outside Waukeegan, Michigan. Stories surely have different versions on that though, and we might want to wait for confirmation. ;)

As for Obama.... I'm open to the idea that he is actually intelligent, aware of everything important (while spending 90% of his time in speeches, fundraisers or travelling between them) but he is NOT doing a great job of anything.

A great stooge would have weakened America without raising a central core of Americans almost militantly moving toward rebuilding our strength with serious urgency and purpose. A truly effective tool wouldn't have divided the nation so completely, without any apparent or tangible gains taken or had from it.....and there most definitely could have been gains taken by Obama....but have become lost opportunities, like so much else he's touched.

In the end, what exactly HAS Obama done in his 8 years? Many of his actions have suggested outcomes and things to come ..but what has he REALLY accomplished?

* Russia is dramatically stronger in both tactical and strategic measures, with a fast world power status rebuilding around it.

* China has gone from mildly belligerent but cautious under Bush, to openly menacing anything in the South China Sea, while all but claiming foundation for it being their own personal puddle to patrol.

* Iran gave him a great nuke deal for legacy, indeed. Then broke the spirit of it, immediately, by launching and testing ballistic missiles their commanders openly state are designed for strikes inside territorial Israel. Now they are openly talking about walking away from the Nuke deal entirely. Why shouldn't they? We gave up EVERYTHING with NOTHING done, 100% up front....with a complete drop of sanctions, release of assets and welcome to commercial and military markets.

* North Korea went from a emerging nuclear question mark, to an established nuclear club member with a madman at the helm and quite likely, having made the first big leap from Atomic to Thermonuclear weapons.

* Venezuela, Socialist heaven that it is, is in a state of near internal collapse as little things such as paper towels and diapers are coming to be items of luxury ...in a nation which is resource rich and strategic as all get out for using that (with anything like decent leadership) for national benefit. Hope and change strikes again, and  it struck them like an ACME safe falling from above.

* North Africa is in dandy shape, from Tunisia to the Suez, with every single nation on the southern Mediterranean Coast having BEEN stable in 2008 and now all but one of them is in various states of internal unrest, outright collapse (Libya was starting to be called a Failed State this week) or general chaos.

If this is success at ANYTHING, by ANYONE's conceivable agenda...who would it be, and to achieve what end? The degree of strategic instability around the world has made open world war more likely than its probably been since the height of the Korean war.  Even if Obama is working for foreign agendas......which one(s)? The POOR handling of US leadership has been SO poor, nations aren't under some shadowy control out there but as likely to go at EACH OTHER as they are to unite under something or against anyone else in particular.

Domestically? We're at each others throats, the US is the lowest its been in real terms of productivity or industry since before World War II. Over half our nation sits on their butts, munching ding dongs and bon bons, watching the 20-teens equivalent of 'Days of our Lives'....and the giant sucking sound, over the world wide cries of despair is the vacuum of American leadership, as sure as the U.S. Carriers went to hide away in ports for the first time since 1941.

If Obama is success.....for anyone...what does failure look like, exactly? Nuking ourselves by hapless misadventure?
