In the event of a solar nova, none of us would be left alive to see what changed, so magnetic pole shifts would be the least of our worries.

The guy on the right in the second video ("Randall"?) is a dead-ringer for my brother in law. They could be twins.

.

A micronova is a type of thermonuclear explosion on the surface of a white dwarf much smaller than the power of a nova.

Micronova was first described a few months ago.

Everyone has at least one Doppelgänger. LOL. Randall Carlson is a cool intriguing science guy on catastrophism history.

So it's not a real concern here then, since the sun is not a white dwarf, and will not be one for another 4.5 billion years. I love me some doom porn, but they ought to try to at least make it believable...

.

There are those who are now saying micro nova producing stars come in all shapes and sizes. In the last few years they have actually seen normal stars shedding mass like a nova yet the star remains.

Several/ a few/some researchers believe our sun produces a mini or micro nova every 12,000 years according to what they are claiming as geological findings. It really does not have to be a mini nova if earth's protective magnetic shield is further weakened as any old Carrington type event would do nicely as far as sending people "back in time" before there was electricity and power tools. There is some debate about what happens to those who do not have a handy cave in which to take shelter in for a few days.... depending on just how strong the 12,000 year event is ?? You and I being old will probably miss the big event but that is the luck of the draw.... lucky lucky lucky even though curiosity is strong in this one.
