Go home Australian 60 minute dude

That was an interesting video, and a great example of how news is being constructed rather than reported - i.e. propagandized.

I found it very interesting that the colonel was repeatedly stressed to have been "the former chief of staff of Colin Powell" as if that was something to brag about. Colin Powell, for all his presumed military acumen, has never been politically reliable, either. He's a Leftist, dyed in the wool. But, since so many alleged Right wingers seem to worship at his altar, they had to attempt to fix a presumption in the minds of their viewers that he is somehow politically savvy, and that his shit rolls down hill, in an effort to sway the Right over to the left, over to their way of thinking. Colin Powell is not, nor ever has been, a Conservative. He is a has-been liberal who found a home in a like-minded Neocon administration, the Bush-Cheney regime. That in no way makes him a right-winger. Matter of fact, he tried to run for president as a Democrat. So why even bring him up in the video? Name recognition, an attempt to influence the though patterns of presumed conservatives.

There was another guy in the video whose name I cannot recall even scant minutes after watching it - he's just that irrelevant - who they stressed repeatedly to be "a Republican Operative" who is against Trump. His alleged "republicanness" is another attempt to sway the minds of the right over to thinking like the left. There is no other logical explanation for why they would have to stress that over and over. He's a "Republican" about like Liz Cheney and her dear old dad are - which means he's not, he just slaps a letter beside his name in an attempt to obscure his true politics. Frankly, I believe the "death threats" he's alleging to receive daily are about like Jussie Smollett's tall tale of persecution. Smoke and mirrors, entirely made up in an effort to increase his relevance.

I liked the Kari Lake interview as well. She takes no prisoners, and very clearly had larger testicles than the interviewer. That is how it's done, boys and girls - YOU control the interview, never let an opponent control it who is only trying to drag you down. Don't get dragged down. Even so, there was a seriously lame attempt to use that fact in an attempt to portray her as an unreasonable fascist... but I don't believe it is either unreasonable or fascistic to refuse to be led around by the nose, or to stand up for yourself. Matter of fact, that attitude is the American way - or it was, some years ago.

All in all, a fine example of how "news" has become nothing of the kind, all smoke, mirrors, and "spin", devoid of actual facts. In other words, more accurate words, "propaganda". I just call 'em like I see 'em, and that is how I see it when I peek behind the curtain.

The Trump Phenomenon was an interesting four years from a purely observational viewpoint. In all that time, and to this very day, I have not been able to find a rational reason for the phenomenon of so many people having an instant and irrational reaction to the simple mention of the name. It was as if they had been conditioned like Pavlov's Dogs, but I have never been able to find the conditioning stimuli prior to Trump's presidency. Conditioning is usually a process, but I have been unable to uncover where or how that process took place - it's seems to have just suddenly emerged, full grown, and with no prior precedent. That of itself might make an interesting avenue for some research psychologist to pursue. Meanwhile, it appears to be continuing full steam ahead. This video is evidence of that.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
