Yeah! Some areas around here voted them out, but they suddenly reappeared.

There has been a battle over what department covers what area, and there has been money woes and battles for years.

Us folks don't depend on a quick response from the police. First they will fight over what department should come, because we are unincorporated and we border on a newly constructed city that is barely established, and nobody wants to drive over 5 miles down a bumpy over sized cow pasture.

So by the time they show up, well.... it is just to file a report.

Right, so you stay armed and call 911 after you have taken care of business. That is the best way, less paperwork.
