Just watched this video about the manipulation of the masses, and it looks at the progression of mind control, advertising etc from 1900 to the 2000s - all the way up to Reagan, Thatcher and Blair.

Long, at 4 hours, but I thought it was very enjoyable and informative.

Quote:The Century of the Self is a 2002 British television documentary series by filmmaker Adam Curtis. It focuses on the work of psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud and Anna Freud, and PR consultant Edward Bernays.[1] In episode one, Curtis says, "This series is about how those in power have used Freud's theories to try and control the dangerous crowd in an age of mass democracy."

Tried to take a look at it and I don't know if it's because I'm in the UK,
but I got this...

'This video contains content from BBC Worldwide, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.'

Big Brother Corporation...? Unknown at this time!

Update: I managed to get Episode One.

Sorry about that - I am using a VPN and so am "in US of A" apparently, today :)

It is well worth watching, imho. Glad you managed to find part 1.

I'd appreciate it if someone in U of K could post one that is accessible to all.
Both amazing videos.
Makes you think and look around.
