Global Pandemic Event 201
#41
(03-24-2020, 11:42 AM)Wallfire Wrote: Yep, once again you have hit the nail on the head, I have been trying to follow what is going on in England
and its very confusing with different news sources seeming to tell different accounts...

It has to be that way due to the reluctance of the UK Government to take that draconian step of a
martial-style control and the need of the media to keep whipping up a ratings-drawing frenzy.

If you watch the UK mainstream TV, the Journalists are allowed to wander where they wish and all
for the sake of a backdrop and dramatic optics of half-empty streets.

The news is full of Journalists talking to Journalists and using words like 'may, could, suggest, lockdown'
and ominous expressions like 'it's only a matter of time' and 'the pandemic is growing'.

They're now asking for specifics when it comes to who can go to work and who can't, like the adult public
can't make it's own decisions. And there's the rub, they believe and want you to believe that it's only through
the MSM, that you can receive the correct information to do what you're told.

Another aspect is it's still all about London and it's easy writing and presentation.
Croatia had a fuckin' earthquake, but eh... the flu is here.

...................

It's like this shite below, who is calling for clarity? Who fuckin' rang the BBC and demanded the Government
make an exact list of who can continue their employment? With the dodgy low-wage and trafficked illegal
immigrants using the the underground to get to work in London, they wanna be careful or the Journalists
won't get their coffees!

Quote:Calls for clarity over new curbs on life in UK.

'Calls are growing for the government to give clarity over its strict new rules to stop the spread of coronavirus.
The measures, announced on Monday, tell Britons to only go to work if "absolutely necessary".

But on Tuesday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said those who cannot work from home should go to work "to
keep the country running". Labour's Jonathan Ashworth called for "clear and unambiguous advice around which
workers can and can't go out".

In Scotland, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said it was not possible to provide a "bespoke guidance" for each
occupation - but she gave clarity with some examples and general principles. Unlike the UK government, she said
building sites should close - unless it involves an essential building such as a hospital.

Meanwhile, people who gather in groups of three or more could face £30 fines, Downing Street said.

It comes as the number of people with coronavirus to have died in the UK reached 422 on Tuesday, the Department
of Health said - a rise of 87 on Monday's figures. There are now more than 8,000 confirmed cases.
Speaking at the government's daily briefing at Downing Street, Mr Hancock said the government is appealing for
250,000 volunteers to help the NHS and deliver medicines.

He said more than 11,000 former medics have also answered the government's call to return to the NHS, and more
than 20,000 final-year student medics and nurses will also begin work. The government is also opening a new temporary
hospital at the Excel centre in London -called the Nightingale Hospital -with two wards, each with capacity for 2,000
patients...'

Quote:An Arizona man has died after ingesting chloroquine phosphate — believing it would protect him from becoming infected with the coronavirus. The man's wife also ingested the substance and is under critical care.

This woman is blaming President Trump for the fact her low IQ caused her and her husband to ingest chloroquine without calling her doctor for instructions. Now her husband is dead and she is in ICU.

Quote:The man's wife told NBC News she'd watched televised briefings during which President Trump talked about the potential benefits of chloroquine. Even though no drugs are approved to prevent or treat COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, some early research suggests it may be useful as a therapy.

She said she opened the cabinet where they keep the dog food and saw that they had some and they both decided to take it to keep from getting sick.
Here's where the low IQ comes in; it was not the kind for humans, but to treat parasites on fish. Sigh...

Quote:The toxic ingredient they consumed was not the medication form of chloroquine, used to treat malaria in humans. Instead, it was an ingredient listed on a parasite treatment for fish.

Good lord!

Quote:The name "chloroquine" resonated with the man's wife, who asked that her name not be used to protect the family's privacy. She'd used it previously to treat her koi fish.

"I saw it sitting on the back shelf and thought, 'Hey, isn't that the stuff they're talking about on TV?'"

The couple — both in their 60s and potentially at higher risk for complications of the virus — decided to mix a small amount of the substance with a liquid and drink it as a way to prevent the coronavirus.

"We were afraid of getting sick," she said.

Within 20 minutes, both became extremely ill, at first feeling "dizzy and hot."
"I started vomiting," the woman told NBC News. "My husband started developing respiratory problems and wanted to hold my hand."

She called 911. The emergency responders "were asking a lot of questions" about what they'd consumed. "I was having a hard time talking, falling down."

Shortly after he arrived at the hospital, her husband died.

This is a tragic story, but should be a warning to others; notify your doctor before taking this drug!

And, stop blaming your own stupidity on President Trump!

I'd have thought this was self-evident.

Quote:Coronavirus: Only go to your job if you cannot work from home - Hancock.

'People can go to work if they cannot do their work at home, the health secretary has said, amid confusion
over the new coronavirus restrictions. It comes after calls for clarity, including from construction workers,
about Monday's wider shutdown measures.

Matt Hancock also said Tube services should be running "in full", after being asked about packed trains
during Tuesday's morning commute. The number of UK deaths rose to 422 on Tuesday, a rise of 87 in
one day.

As it continues to ramp up its response to the number of people testing positive for the disease, the government
is opening a new makeshift hospital at the ExCel exhibition centre in London.
The temporary Nightingale Hospital has been set up with help from the military and will have capacity for 4,000
patients.

Mr Hancock also appealed for 250,000 volunteers to help the NHS, and said more than 11,000 former medics
had answered the government's call to return to the NHS. More than 24,000 final-year student nurses and medics
will also join the health service.

'Employers have a duty'
Mr Hancock led Tuesday's daily Downing Street briefing - which saw reporters asking questions over video-link
- after complaints that part of the government's strict new rules were confusing for workers.

The new measures, in place for at least three weeks, tell Britons to only leave home to go to work "where this is
absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home". Mr Hancock later said those who cannot work from home
should go to work "to keep the country running".

On Tuesday, pictures showed workers in London crowding into Tube carriages - despite warnings that, even when
out in public, people should keep two metres (6ft) away from others.

Unions and workers in the construction industry have called for protection, saying their work is not essential and
puts people's health at risk.

And Piers Morgan highlighted the issue on ITV's Good Morning Britain when he showed images of construction
workers working at London's Heathrow Airport and said: "Ask yourself a moral question: what are you doing?
Do the right thing. Do you have to be out there? Can this work wait? You need to get your priorities right."

He then interviewed London's mayor Sadiq Khan who said that, in his view, construction workers should not be
going to work and that he had made that point "quite forcefully" to Boris Johnson.

Asked about the issue at the briefing, Mr Hancock said people whose jobs has not already been shut down by the
government measures to date should continue to work but should only be travelling to a workplace "where that
work can't be done at home".

He said construction workers - many of whom work outdoors - could and should continue to go to work as long as
they are able to remain two metres apart at all times...'

It looks like London is riding the same rail as New York!

New York has by far the greatest number of cases in the US now - more than 8 times as many as the next closest competitor. The infection rate in New York is also, not coincidentally, over 5 times national rate. They have 23,230 infections, with New Jersey moving up to second place, surpassing California and Washington with 2844 infections confirmed, although Washington state is still in second place for death toll with 111 deaths to New York's 183 deaths.

The virus seems to be preferentially attacking places with two things in common: 1) high population density and 2) utter disregard for common sense and a sense of entitlement, an "I can't catch this bug" attitude that makes them think they are supermen and therefore immune to the measures more prudent folk are taking.

New York fits both of those bills, as do New Jersey, California, and Washington State, and I bet London falls into that same category, judging by the photos you shared.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Quote:Prince Charles, who is first in line to the British throne, has tested positive for coronavirus after displaying mild symptoms, his office has announced.

“The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual," the Clarence House said to Fox News in a statement Wednesday morning.

The statement confirmed that the 71-year-old British royal's wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, 72, tested negative. They are currently at their home, Burnham on the Balmoral Estate, in Scotland "self-isolating," the statement confirmed.

"The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing."
While Clarence House said it is "not possible to ascertain" whom Prince Charles may have caught the virus from, the office made note of a "high number of engagements" he carried out in recent weeks.

The news comes on the heels of Prince Albert of Monaco revealing his positive diagnosis of COVID-19. According to multiple reports, Prince Charles sat across from Prince Albert at a WaterAid charity event in London days before testing positive.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla had already canceled their upcoming eight-day royal tour, which was set to begin on March 17 and conclude on March 25, with stops in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Cyprus and Jordan.

“Owing to the unfolding situation with the coronavirus pandemic, The British Government has asked Their Royal Highnesses to postpone their spring tour to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Jordan,” their office shared in a statement.

Prince Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth II, remains in a healthy condition despite her son testing positive, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told Fox News.

“Her Majesty The Queen remains in good health. The Queen last saw the Prince of Wales briefly after the investiture on the morning of the 12th of March and is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare," the spokesman said.

The British royal family announced on its official website last week that Queen Elizabeth would temporarily move to Windsor Castle amid the growing coronavirus pandemic one week earlier than planned.

I guess the "royal elite" don't get a pass from this virus.

(Neither do the Hollywood elite.)

Maybe they are realizing we are all "more equal" to everyone else after all.   tinysure

Priority: The "Overpopulation" problem

Quote:Bill Gates rebuked proposals, floated over the last two days by leaders like Donald Trump, to reopen the global economy despite the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak, saying that this approach would be “very irresponsible.”

Gates did not mention Trump by name, but the American president has said that he may decide to relax some of the country’s “social distancing” in order to jumpstart the country’s shut-down economy. Gates, the country’s leading philanthropist, has been among the most active tech leaders in using his resources to try and contain the virus.

“There really is no middle ground, and it’s very tough to say to people, ‘Hey, keep going to restaurants, go buy new houses, ignore that pile of bodies over in the corner. We want you to keep spending because there’s maybe a politician who thinks GDP growth is all that counts,’” Gates said in an interview with TED Tuesday. “It’s very irresponsible for somebody to suggest that we can have the best of both worlds.”

Trump has suggested that this middle ground would indeed be possible — by letting some healthy people return to work, for instance, while keeping more vulnerable workers in their homes. Experts have said that drastic and widespread social distancing is required to keep the pandemic from spreading further. Trump has said he would make a decision at the end of the month but has said that he believes the “cure” could be worse than the “problem itself.”

Asked what he would do if he were president, Gates returned to his concerns about reopening the economy.

“The economic effect of this is really dramatic. Nothing like this has ever happened to the economy in our lifetimes,” Gates said. “But bringing the economy back ... that’s more of a reversible thing than bringing people back to life. So we’re going to take the pain in the economic dimension — huge pain — in order to minimize the pain in the diseases-and-death dimension.”

With the kids farting about and not taking the Government's demands to stay indoors, this would be a perfect

And so they did.

Chloe Middleton, 21, had no underlying health issues, according to her family.

In a Facebook post, her aunt Emily Mistry said Ms Middleton "had passed away from Covid-19" and urged others to
"do your bit" to stop the spread of the disease.

According to government figures, most patients who have died with coronavirus had pre-existing medical conditions.
There have been concerns that younger people were ignoring warnings over its spread, believing the contagion was
only a danger to the elderly.

But in a series of Facebook posts, Ms Middleton's family urged the public to heed safety advice and take the virus
"seriously".

'Shattered'
Her mother, Diane Middleton, wrote: "Please think again. "Speaking from a personal experience, this so-called virus has
taken the life of my 21-year-old daughter." Ms Mistry added: "My beautiful, kind-hearted 21 year old niece has passed
away from Covid-19. "She had no underlying health conditions."

She said the family was "shattered beyond belief".

"The reality of this virus is only just unfolding before our very eyes," she added. "Please, please adhere to government
guidelines. "Do your bit. Protect yourselves and protect others. The virus isn't spreading, people are spreading the virus."...'

I think if there's any conspiracy theory regarding China releasing the Covid-19 virus deliberately to
punish the US for the trade wrangles, could this effect have been the goal?

Quote:Coronavirus: Record number of Americans file for unemployment.

'The number of Americans filing for unemployment has surged to a record high as the economy goes
into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nearly 3.3 million people registered to claim jobless
benefits for the week ended 21 March, according to Department of Labor data.

That is nearly five times more than the previous record of 695,000 set in 1982.
The rush overwhelmed many state offices handling the claims and signalled an abrupt end to a decade
of expansion. The shift comes as officials in states across the country close restaurants, bars, cinemas,
hotels and gyms in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.

Car firms have halted production and air travel has fallen dramatically. According to economists, a fifth
of the US workforce is on some form of lockdown. Analysts said the situation could be even worse than
the data currently shows, noting the reports of jammed call lines and crashing state websites.

Some kinds of workers, such as people working part-time, do not qualify.
"I've been writing about the US economy ... since 1996, and this is the single worst data point I've seen,
by far," said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist of Pantheon Economics.

Nationally, the figures are nearly five times higher than the worst point of the 2008 financial crisis.

In Illinois, weekly jobless claims increased 10-fold. They more than quintupled in New York and more than
tripled in California, which were among the earliest and biggest states to impose restrictions.
The effects were even more dramatic in smaller states.

While some retailers, such as Walmart and Amazon, have announced plans to hire, economists said that
will not make up for the jobs lost. As incomes evaporate, the economic damage is likely to snowball, since
consumer spending accounts for the majority of the US economy.

"Once the risks around the virus pass, it will not be just easy to flip the switch and employment returns to
pre-crisis levels," Joseph Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM wrote on Twitter. "That is not how this is
going to work and will require more aid."

In Washington, Congress is expected to pass a more than $2tn (£1.7tn) stimulus bill, which includes direct
payments of $1,200 (£999) to adults, an expansion of unemployment benefits, and financing for affected
industries, such as airlines. The Federal Reserve has also taken unprecedented steps to shore up the
economy.

But even with such action, a sharp economic contraction is inevitable, analysts said. Lower income workers
are particularly vulnerable, as the lockdown forces retailers, fast food outlets and other low wage employers
to cut back or close.

Mr Shepherdson said he expects to see the unemployment rate increase to at least 6.5% shortly - nearly
double the prior rate - and continue to accelerate in future months. "Fed action and fiscal measures can
only ameliorate the pain and we remain worried that the latter aren't yet on a sufficient scale,"
Mr Shepherdson wrote.

As recently as February, the US unemployment rate was hovering near historic lows at 3.5%.
The number of jobless claims was only about 210,000 three weeks ago and President Donald Trump
was trumpeting the labour market's health on Twitter.

Mr Trump, who has made the strength of the economy his political calling card, recently said he wants to
loosen restrictions on activity as early as next month. However, state and local officials worried about the
rise in cases may decide not to follow the federal government as the number of cases continues to rise.
The US had more than 69,000 cases as of Thursday.

In a television interview on Thursday, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said "the first order of business
will be to get the spread of the virus under control and then resume economic activity".

"The sooner we get through this period and get the virus under control, the sooner the recovery can come...
We know that economic activity will decline probably substantially in the second quarter but I think many
expect and I would expect economic activity to resume and move back up in the second half of the year,"
he said...'

However, these numbers are claims, remember that.

Of course! One of the main things that would get Trump re-elected is the great economy we were having since he took office. They couldn't allow that to continue.
I do also see them taking advantage of getting rid of those with underlying health conditions, and the old who now rely on Social Security and pensions. They feel this money is theirs, not ours.

So, what a great opportunity to "kill two birds with one stone" and release this virus now. But, make no mistake, they WILL NOT win! Not in the United States.  Too many people have opened their eyes to how the Deep State operates, and President Trump knows too. I trust him to take care of this soon.

Yes, that would doubtless be a part of the strategy to crash the economy - but only a part. Another factor in the strategy would be the volatility and death throes of the panicky folks who make the stock market tick.

It looks to me like the EU may have been targeted as well, with Italy and Iran as the access points into it.

I heard in the wind that the UK is paying off-duty workers 80% of their regular wage while they're out, but do not know how true that is. The same source said Denmark was paying 75% to out of work workers, and that Canada is giving each family 2k Canadian dollars a month for the duration, so they may have been targeted as well, or they may be collateral damage. THE US appears to me to not even be able to get up off of a one-time payment of 1200.00 per displaced worker, because the Democrats insist on poisoning the bill by packing it with unrelated pork projects that they have had in the wings forever, but have been otherwise unable to push through. NO ONE writes up an 1100 page or 1400 page bill overnight - that shit was sitting in someone's desk drawer just waiting for the right crisis to get trotted out.

The panic-demic appears to me to not be getting any better. I can't say for sure, because I've not graphed it out, but I did crunch some numbers a little while ago. New York gained around 7000 new infections over the last 24 hours, but their death rate is down to 1% thanks to the massive aid pouring into NY. Meanwhile, in Virginia, the death rate has risen to 2.8% due to a combination of factors, one of which is undoubtedly aid being re-routed to NY, but another of which is the fact that a nursing home in Lee County has been infected. I do not know the infection rate in NY because I don't have the total numbers tested to divide the positive cases into, but in VA it is 7.4% of all people tested. Bear in mind that that figure likely doesn't translate into the general population, since there is no reason and no resources to test people who are not already sick with something, so it's only about 7.4% of the people with upper respiratory infections who are testing positive. That doesn't factor in the still healthy population.

Overnight, several states have entered the "over 2000 cases" club - Michigan and Louisiana just off the top of my head are now in it.

I'm not really a panicky person, but I do believe that the estimates of everyone being put back to work in a couple of weeks are overly-optimistic given those figures. It doesn't appear to be slowing down as much as is being billed, and it looks to me like the pronouncements of a quick return to work are being promulgated simply to delay deeper panic, keep folks thinking that the sunlight is just around the curve.

I think there is a good chance things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better.

Amazing Polly exposes the Deep State players who are in charge of WHO, and two of them are in the team we are supposed to trust to tell us the truth.

I don't trust the health organization, and I never will, especially now!
