There was a motive... a BIG motive behind this incident.  I know when I call this a "False Flag" people are going to come out of the wood work and say, "But people really died! How can this be a False Flag?"
First, you have to understand what a false flag is. Is doesn't mean no one died, or got shot. It means things aren't always what they appear to be. And there is always a motive behind it...usually involving something the gooberment wants.
Create the "situation", instill fear in the masses, offer the solution... they gain tighter control. tinysure

The guy is pretty clearly neither North Korean nor middle eastern, so I'm not sure which country they would point at to lay the false flag at the feet of.

I agree with you, I doubt this is something from another country or a promoted terror-related

Aye, and I believe the proposed "solution" will "work its way into" (i.e. be "introduced into") public discussion within the next 5 days.

Not a "false flag" though, at least not so far. They are, so far, laying this at the doorstep of crazy rather than any other government.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Flying a "False Flag" way back in the days of Columbus is where "false flag" originally got it's name, but it has taken on a different meaning today.

ETA: I've been watching that series on GAIA t.v. titled False Flags; it's really good.

I would say it's a herding prod. They have some outcome in mind that they want to herd the general public towards. I've heard a lot of folks crying that there is going to be gun control talk for the next few months over this, but the flaw there, easily pointed out, is that none of the guns were legal or registered to begin with - so no new law would have prevented it. The ones already in place certainly didn't.

They may try to blame it on "right wingers", but the fatal flaw in that argument is that it was right wingers who were shot up here, just as it was Republican congressmen who were shot up on the ball field a couple months ago - I can't recall if that shooter lived through it or not, but I'm willing to bet not. Anyhow, that argument can be countered with the old "don't blame the victims" argument.

They might even be trying to get the public to accept tighter surveillance "for their own good", but I can't imagine tighter surveillance than this guy sailed right through - with a little help from his friends, no doubt.

Maybe they'll outlaw stockpiling ammunition - which is also ludicrous, since stockpiled ammo is useless without the firearms to fire it, and these were most likely illegal - if one does not care to break the law in acquiring automatic weapons, what is there to prevent him from breaking a new law against stockpiling ammunition? That reminds me - I need to go get more ammo, LOTS more, just in case...

So I'm sure it's some sort of herding prod to herd us in a desired direction, I just haven't figured out what that direction IS.

I'm sure we'll all hear in the next few days, though. Be watching for it and expecting it.

@"Mystic Wanderer" I wanted to respond here vs. the shoutbox, just because I think it's relevant. I learned a very valuable lesson today about ATS. Not just them, but "social media" in general. Granted, I define that much wider than some, but here's my thought:

I went into work last night at 12:30am to help out with a shop that was on the brink (bad weekend at work, "brink" may be an overstatement but we needed help). So I saw the news realtime as it was going on. During my post here I did go check out ATS and I found myself in the same situation I did when I left there the last time (and part of the reason why I hate the internet altogether in the first place)

At 12:40am CST - It was ISIS. Had to be. Just wait for it, the flag and declaration will be online soon.

1:30amCST - ANTIFA. Had to be a bunch of Liberals because yeah, he targeted a Country Music Fest (do some stereotype juggling and you'll catch Trump / GOP eventually)

2:30amCST - Maybe Antifa but MOST DEFINITLY "This Guy". These fuckers posted the name of an innocent man on ATS with more than 2,000 people online and following that thread.

Yes, Gemwolf eventually came along and put a stop to the madness but it was too late. The damage done will live on in the tubes for plenty of time. And they have nobody but themselves to blame. If you look at that thread on ATS that started it all it was a well meant "social media" post: "hey, some people in my city are rumbling that there was a shooting". And what happened next was an orgy of crap and shit for the next few hours until it got shut down.

Sorry, it's one thing to wonder "WTF" because I've been doing that the entire day. But they posted names, social media accounts, addresses, etc. of people that had nothing to do with it. ALL IN THE NAME OF "I WAS THERE FIRST" FAUX JOURNALISM (you know, the kind that made CNN famous and is ridiculed but followed by the same people).

I can't make sense of today. Conspiracy theories will follow and i'll be right on the tail. But this "I said it first!" shit was too much. By the time the sun actually graced the USA today ATS was shutting shit down, but it was too late in my HONEST opinion. No need to shut down discussion, but when innocent people are being outed online and fired by morning (because of some dude on ATS) that's a line that needs to be drawn.

So ANTIFA shit in the hotel? Where did you read that? Because at 2am CST there was "ANTIFA" all over it while the guy (who was in another state BTW) was being rolled under the coals all because some asshole wanted to be the "dude with the most stars today".

Tuesday:

I awoke to the Sky News reporting that a 'property millionaire' shot up a country & western concert in Las Vegas
and purchased all of his firearms at a Gun-Shop presumably in Mesquite.

There was an image of the store and it was said that the owner commented (although you didn't hear or see him)
that Paddock passed all the required protocols.
Mainstream overseas media calming the public down.

The BBC website tends to move in the 'feelings' circles with sad remarks from loved ones, but it did state:
'Nevada has some of the least stringent gun laws in the United States.
People are allowed to carry weapons and do not have to register themselves as a gun-owner.
Background checks are done when people buy guns, but they are also allowed to sell them privately...'

The BBC Breakfast News also reported on the tragedy. Again, the emphasis was on how simply a man bought
some guns and without a known motive at this point, killed 58 people.
Of course, they showed Obama weeping at a previous tragedy and suggested US gun laws should be looked
at again.

They want your guns, fellas.

"want our guns" is past possible. If they were looking for the spark for a true "split" in this country, door to door confiscators would do it.

don't get me wrong, I'm all for more gun control (the right kind) which INCLUDES enforcing laws on the books. I think it's totally bat-shit crazy that it's easier to buy a gun than renew the fucking registration on my car, sell a car, rent an apartment, etc. But gun control doesn't stop what happened yesterday.

And I agree @"BIAD" I was floored this morning to see that he purchased upwards of 60 guns?! Yesterday it was all not adding up but when this guy was building an arsenal it seems there were a few red flags that could have been looked at. I don't know, but yeah, he had a mini army going at his house.

Some info taken from the daily mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...-room.html

Paddock was also the son of Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, a serial bank robber who ended up on the FBI Most Wanted list back in 1969 when he escaped from federal prison in Texas while serving a 20 years sentence.

The FBI kept him on the list for the next eight years, and he was eventually found one year after he was removed from the list in 1978 while outside an Oregon Bingo hall.
The agency said that the fugitive had been 'diagnosed as psychopathic' and also had possible 'suicidal tendencies.'

WHOA!  This taxi driver was RIGHT THERE when the shots started ringing out. She videos the whole thing, and the police scanner can be heard in her car. Towards the middle of the footage some panicked runners jump in and...  well, just watch.

ETA: Too bad this video was removed. Imagine that!
It showed a LOT that happened that night.  I hope you got to watch it before it was removed.

2nd ETA:  I found another video of the taxi driver.  PLEASE watch it before it's removed.

Here is a video of the police scanner communications.

Well, that didn't take long!  Talk show hosts (media puppets) are already speaking out about gun control.  Sigh.

Quote:With a nation in mourning, late-night hosts grappled with how to address the worst mass shooting in U.S. history Monday night.
Jimmy Kimmel's eyes welled up and his voice shook as he recounted the violence in his childhood hometown.

"It's the kind of thing that makes you want to throw up or give up," said the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host. "It's too much to even process, all these devastated families that have to live with this pain forever because one person with a violent and insane voice in his head managed to stockpile a collection of high-powered rifles and use them to shoot people."

Kimmel castigated Republican leaders like Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan who "sent their thoughts and their prayers today. Which is good. They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country."

Then he broadcast photos of over 50 senators who voted against closing loopholes on background checks following the Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre.

"With all due respect, your thoughts and your prayers are insufficient," said Kimmel.
Over at Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Trevor Noah also took on the argument that now is "not the right time" to discuss gun control.

The South African host said he's been exposed to 20 mass shootings since moving to the U.S. two years ago. "When is the time (to talk about guns)?" asked Noah. "If you say after a mass shooting is never the time, then you'll never have the conversation in America because there's a mass shooting almost every single day."

He continued: "When a plane crashes we talk about plane safety immediately. When a bridge collapses we talk about infrastructure immediately ... we seem to do everything to avoid talking about guns," said Noah, before pivoting to news clips of talking heads questioning if hotel security was tight enough. "So, just to keep track of the argument: Mass shooting, mass shooting, mass shooting...'We have to take care of this hotel check-in issue.'"

Seth Meyers aimed his comments straight at Congress.

"We've talked about gun violence on this show before," said the Late Night with Seth Meyers host. "I also know nothing I say will make any difference at all. But to Congress I would like to say: Are there no steps we can take as a nation to prevent gun violence? Or is this just how it is and how it's going to continue to be?"

Conan O'Brien tried to make sense of the escalation in deadly mass shootings. He traced his career back to 1993, when "occasions like this were extremely rare."
That was then. The Conan host said his head writer met him at the office on Monday with a stack of remarks O'Brien made after the Sandy Hook and Pulse nightclub mass shootings. "You might want to look at them to see what you might want to say tonight," his staffer told him.
"That struck me," said O'Brien. "How could there be a file of mass shooting remarks for a late night host? When did that become normal?"

O'Brien acknowledged that he's not the most political of his late-night brethren. "I never have been," he stated. "But I don't think it should be so easy for one demented person to kill so many people so quickly ... Something needs to change. It really does."
Stephen Colbert dangled a different sort of carrot in front of President Trump.

“Now, President Trump, you've said you want to be a transformative president, who doesn’t care about the way things have always been done in Washington D.C.” Colbert began.
“This is your chance to prove it! And I mean this sincerely. You do not owe the Republicans anything. You know the Republicans tried to stop you from being president. Well, screw ‘em!”

Colbert then went full MAGA. “You want to make America great again? Do something the last two presidents haven’t been able to do: Pass any kind of common sense gun legislation that the vast majority of Americans want.”
(Red highlights by me)

Quotes from Sandy Hook?  As we have recently shown, Sandy Hook was a staged event. I think anyone who digs deep enough through the evidence can see this, right?  Oh wait, they demolished the school so no evidence could be found. Duh!

You have to strike at the public's heartstrings while it's "fresh", so they will agree to the agenda in play.
GIVE UP YOUR GUNS NOW!  (Then the NWO can walk right in the back door and no one will be able to do one thing about it!)
They're stepping up their game of death and destruction on the innocent citizens.  Please open your eyes and SEE this!
I'm not sure how this shooter was affiliated with "them", but I have a very strong gut feeling he was... even if he didn't know it.

Hmmm...

ETA: Another video removed?  WTH?!!  I don't remember what this one was, or I'd find another one similar.  Hope you got to watch it before it was removed.
Just one more reason to stay up to date and watch these as they're posted.

I know that many see the outrage regarding guns as a way for the Government to disarm the public and I agree,
it certainly has merit.

But if I strongly believe that there's been a subtle plan to get the US  to change one... just one item in their
constitution and then the landslide can start. Whether it's guns, immigration or something else, I would suggest
a underhanded scheme is in play to erode the foundations of the United States and that valuable piece of paper
is important in it.
IMHO.

Quote:Post #5: "if their plan is successful state of nevada will pass a law in the future making all casinos have mandatory metal detectors and backscatter machines. soon after a federal law will be passed to put these machines in universities, high schools, federal buildings, you name it. osi systems and chertoff are the main producers of these machines. sometime around 2020 chertoff and osi will merge into a single company. after they merge the owners will sell off all their stock and make billions in profit. mr chertoff has been in contact with sheldon adelson. mr adelson will become a huge sponsor of these machines and he will be the first to put them in his casinos when the law passes. this is my last message for now. don't expect me to return anytime soon"

True. He was worth about 2 million dollars, and had 25 houses around the nation. Owned his own airplane, flew a lot, traveled overseas a lot. I still haven't figured out what was so terrible about his life that he had to shoot up a crowd of complete strangers. Since he's dead, we may never know.

Quote:There was an image of the store and it was said that the owner commented (although you didn't hear or see him)

True. He passed all the tests, and filled out all the forms for at least some of the weapons he had. Nothing popped up in his history that would send up red flags. Apparently one traffic ticket, years ago. No history of mental or legal problems.

Quote:The BBC website tends to move in the 'feelings' circles with sad remarks from loved ones, but it did state:

Kinda true. I don't know how "lax" compared to the other states Nevada can be considered. I've never lived anywhere here that I could not openly carry a sidearm, nor have I ever lived anywhere that "registration as a gun owner" would be tolerated. I don't see how Nevada is any more lax or even different from anywhere else I've lived here.

I don't know about "simply" - Federal law governs firearms purchases, and one has to jump through a few hoops to get one. I recently purchased one, and had to fill out a novel of paperwork, present valid ID's, and submit to a background check to insure that I was stable enough to walk out of the store with it. It took a while, but we had other stuff to shop for while the background check was being done, so it wasn't all that problematic - I didn't have to stand around and fidget, waiting, in other words. I just found something else to do to fill that time.

Quote:They want your guns, fellas.

They can have mine, if they meet certain requirements. I had to meet requirements to get it myself, after all. They will 1) have to come pick it up in person. I'm not going to gift wrap it and deliver it to them, and 2) agree to the terms of having to get it 55 grains at a time, and reconstruct it later.

Oh - they also need to send more than 500 people to pick it up. the first few may not make the grade.

"Molon Labe"

- Leonidas, Spartan leader at the Battle of Thermopylae.
(They had to send a whole lot of Persians to claim his weapons, too)

And the alleged shooter was on the 32nd floor; 32nd Degree Mason?

Maybe I'm reaching here, but I'm just looking at all angles right now.

There was one video I hadn't finished watching before I posted it. When I just now watched the rest, it showed where ISIS had threatened the U.S. several days before the shooting. Guess what city was shown in the background?

This link says he filmed himself while doing the deed. http://nypost.com/2017/10/03/las-vegas-g...slaughter/

If true maybe his motive will come out and be known....

A very good article about what is known so far.. Weapons used etc etc

I bet that's one video the public will never get to see.
I noticed in a couple of the videos I posted here, especially that one of the taxi driver, that there was one round of shots that sounded like it was very close to her. The next round sounded further away. Did anyone else notice that?

I think there was more than one shooter, and here is a post that backs that up.
