There's nothing much better than waking up to the UK's BBC Breakfast programme where news, current affairs,
arts and weather are offered.

The two Presenters -probably like many early-morning shows of the similar vein on television around the world,
pitch articles that are supposed to be neutral, upbeat and informative and with a slight-cheesy leaning toward
entertaining a standard household preparing for a new day.

But I'm sure the BBC's Diversity Department also take the opportunity to make sure that the couple of stories that
are presented every twenty minutes, benefits those of the public who believe rainbow-coloured unicorns chase the
evil white man into the sea and multiculturalism is the Holy Grail that only women, gays and people of colour can
appreciate.

Bad things are something only the white dudes do and so, the BBC Breakfast programme stays away from the
darker areas of the world, where reality messes with their paradigm.

Two men arrested in Bognor Regis after women find ‘pills’ in kebab.

'Three women in their 20s reported finding the pills in their food after they returned home from Istanbul Grill in High
Street, Bognor Regis, around 2am on Sunday 29 December, according to police.



Following enquiries, officers arrested two local men, aged 30 and 42, on suspicion of administering poison with
intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm, confirmed police. Both suspects remain in police custody
at this stage.

District Commander, Chief Inspector Jon Carter, said: “I understand this incident may cause concern.
“However, police have taken prompt action to protect the public with the arrest of two people, and are working
with partners, especially in the district council, to enhance protective measures.

“The investigation is at an early stage, and exactly what happened, and the motivations of those involved are not
yet fully understood. “However, there is nothing to suggest that any other food outlets are involved, or that there is
any link with any particular section of the wider community.

“Local officers will be present in the area, and I would ask for the support of the public in allowing officers to investigate
this matter.”...'

Streatham Hill stabbing live: Woman rushed to hospital after knife attack.

'A woman in her 30s has been rushed to hospital after she was stabbed in Streatham Hill .
Officers from the Met Police were called to Downton Avenue at 5.20pm on Monday, December 30 after reports
of a woman being attacked. Police have confirmed that the woman's injuries are thankfully not life-threatening
or life-changing.

So far no arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
The busy road is still closed as officers investigate and gather evidence from the scene.

Description of the attacker
The mum was attacked from behind by a lone attacker, described as a black man, around 6ft tall and wearing dark
clothing. The man did not speak as he stabbed the victim three times before running off down Downton Avenue away
from the High Road

Detectives are investigating, with forensic specialists brought in to search for evidence and CCTV analysis taking place.
At this stage, officers retain an open mind as to any motive.
The Met have confirmed the 36-year-old mum was stabbed three times in front of her child, who she was pushing in a
pushchair at the time along Downton Avenue...'

Thornton Heath stab victim is named.

'A 60-year-old man who was stabbed to death the day before Christmas Eve in Thornton Heath has been named
as John Kennet. Police were called at around 9.30pm on Monday, December 23 to reports of a stabbing in
Woodcroft Road, Thornton Heath.



Mr Kennett was found outside a residential address suffering from stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the
scene at 9.49pm. A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.
While in custody he became unwell and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 41-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder in the evening on Thursday, December 26.
He remains in custody at a South London police station.

Detective chief inspector Simon Harding said: “The victim was found injured in a residential street. While it is not a
heavy footfall location, there may have been members of the public travelling through Woodcroft Road who saw
something. I urge those people to come forward and speak to my officers without delay.

“No matter how insignificant you think it may be please do make the call. We are building the sequence of events
leading up to and immediately following this attack which has led to a man’s death, your call could complete the
picture.” Police believe the victim and suspect were known to each other...'

Police lock down street in Stepps after residents report hearing gunshots.



'Police locked down a street in Stepps near Glasgow after residents reported hearing gunshots.
Officers were called to reports of a firearm being discharged at a property on Flynn Gardens at around
7pm on Monday, December 30.

Nobody has been injured in the incident with police in north Lanarkshire carrying out door-to-door enquiries
in the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.00pm on Monday, 30 December, officers attended Flynn
Gardens in Stepps following a report that a firearm had been discharged at a house.
"No-one has been injured and enquiries, which are at an early stage, are ongoing.

"Officers are carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area...'

Sharp rise in children visiting gender clinic.

'Children as young as four are attending a Scots gender clinic as the number of youngsters referred soars.
Referrals to the Young People’s Gender Service at the Sandyford clinic in Glasgow have climbed by more
than 80% in a year for those aged between four and 10.

The clinic recorded 298 cases in 2018 among children of all ages.

Some critics have claimed children are being encouraged to begin the process of changing their gender too
early and too quickly. Six psychologists at the Tavistock Centre in England resigned claiming their work was
hampered by concerns around accusations of transphobia.

An inquiry has been launched at Tavistock after it emerged almost three-quarters of children referred were girls
and Forwomen.scot used Freedom of Information laws to ask the Scots clinic for figures.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said the number of referred children aged 11 to 16 increased from 198 in 2017
to 264 in 2018. For those aged four to 10 there was an increase from 18 to 33.
One referral fell outsides the age categories.

Trina Budge, forwomen.scot co-founder, said: “We really do need more information about what is going on.”
The health board said: “There has been an increase in the number of young people across Europe seeking referral
to gender services. “The reasons are complex and multifaceted.”...'

Antiques Roadshow expert is left stunned after discovering what he thought was 150-year-old port
when he tasted it was actually urine and brass pins.

*Andy McConnell was handed mysterious bottle during an episode in Cornwall 
*After tasting liquid he concluded that it was probably vintage port or red wine
*But several years later was shocked to find out what bottle actually contained

'An Antiques Roadshow tasted what he thought was a 150-year-old bottle of port - only to discover it was actually
full of urine, several brass pins and one human hair.

Glass expert Andy McConnell was handed the mysterious bottle during an episode in Trelissick, Cornwall, after a
local found it buried in the threshold of their house. The excited specialist used a syringe to extract the contents and
move it into a glass while remarking 'it's very brown'. He then used a finger to taste some.

After grimacing, the expert told the audience: 'I think it's port - port or red wine... or it's full of rusty old nails and that's
rust!' Following the recording in 2016, scientists at Loughborough University used an x-ray to check the contents.
Host Fiona Bruce then revealed the results of their survey during a recent show. 

She said: 'Inside were these brass pins, all of these dating from the late 1840s and the liquid - urine, a tiny bit of alcohol
and one human hair.' Bruce then revealed the object was actually a witches' bottle - which had been buried by the front
door of the house to guard against evil spirits.

Adding that it also contained a type of cockle called and ostracod, she continued: 'So what this was not a bottle of port or
wine but a witches’ bottle.

'So buried in the threshold of the house as a talisman against witchcraft, against curses, against misfortune coming into
the home. So you glad you tried it?'
Andy McConnell was unrepentant and insisted: 'It was too much of a good opportunity to miss!'...'
