And a lot of the disappearing and sinking islands, are the result of the theft of sand. A simple natural resource that has been abused like any other they can make money off of.

We are truly a destructive lot, and greed will destroy us all.

Then my head exploded after I watched the vid. WTF, over! I never heard of this growing devastation. The amount of greed on this planet never ceases to shock me.

I saw the documentary a few years back. I was shocked with the information presented in the video. Until I stopped and thought about it.

We take everything for granted. We are like children. We think just because there seems to be an abundance of something that it has little value, and we treat it as such.

We don't realize that the more simple a thing appears, the more important it is in the grand scheme of life.

Water, sand, air, trees, insects. We never think about the amazing secrets of this planet. There is so much we don't know, and that is going to be our downfall.

On that note, definitely agree with you. We live in a throw-away society and all big corporations think about is their bottom line. Up until circa 1940s they/we designed things to last a lifetime and/or best effort to last decades. The day of days or day of reckoning is coming right soon.
