Oregon coast is on fire tonight!
We were too close to a fire in SoCal around 1972 or so. It was so close, we could see the eucalyptus trees going up like fireworks. My folks had the car completely packed and ready to go. Pretty unforgettable.

We have another family living with us now, I'm away from work after evacuating them.

Can't go anywhere. Road north is closed, road 1 hour south is closed with another fire.
Our hospital is still open and no one other than me can get to work.
I'm home right now feeding our new friends and running for supplies.
