The guys were not the first - 727Sky - 07-17-2020 Something i did not know was the first combat helicopter pilot in Viet Nam was a woman by the name of Valerie Andre. In 1952-53 she flew 129 missions and rescued 165 wounded while flying a Bell-47 . She was also capable of making jumps which she did to perform surgery on two people who needed immediate care.. Did I mention she was a doctor too ? Amazing IMO... Also I would bet she was a female because this was before all the transgender guys competing in women's sports insanity of today. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2548352738784472&set=gm.1056493524544886&type=3&sfns=mo RE: The guys were not the first - F2d5thCav - 07-17-2020 Since this was before Dien Bien Phu, she must have been a French soldier. I'll bet she had a fascinating life. Cheers RE: The guys were not the first - guohua - 07-17-2020 That is Fascinating to know. RE: The guys were not the first - F2d5thCav - 07-17-2020 Wow, General André is still alive at 98 years of age! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Val%C3%A9rie_Andr%C3%A9 Cheers |
