I'm not the owner; I'm not even a MOD (although they did ask me, but I had a full time job and didn't have the time.), but I can give you MY opinion.
We all used to be a part of another board called Hernando's Hideaway. I won't go into the details, but at some point it split up and some of the members broke away to start this site. We went through three different boards before we settled on this one, thus the name Rogue-Nation3.
During it all, we stuck together and kept moving our threads over that we wanted to keep. No easy task! That alone shows how dedicated we were to sticking together.
Over time, some members drifted off, but there were a few (possibly 10-20) who kept the board alive and going in hopes that some day we would have a bigger community.
That day has arrived, and there is nothing that is going to tear us down now; we came too far.
I think you'll be in good hands here. I hope you like it and become one of the "family" of Rogues.

I'm sure that @"guohua" will be able to respond better than I can, but IMHO the main differences here are:
The Friendly Family Atmosphere here.
A Close-Knit Community that's still small enough to care and look out for one another.
Freedom of Speech. (No topic is "banned" so long as we respect one another's opinions.)
A great sense of humour is alive and well here! (We don't take ourselves too seriously)
and...
This Is Not Run As A Business, it is run as a community website.

No, I don't mind you asking at all, good question.
First and Foremost, we are a Family Here and we care for each other in a way that is like, your mother wondering why you've been missing your meals and not attending school.
If you're absent for a while, one of us (usually me) will send you an email asking if you're alright, did we do something to angure you or do you need Prayers and Healing Energy sent your way.
Plus, you'll notice our Admin, Super Mods and Mods are very helpful and respond in a timely manner, you won't see the Ban Hammer going Just out Of Nowhere Here.
Plus you can Cuss here, we are adults. My biggest rule is Respect and Openmindiness and Patiences with Others.
