When my family went to the Alamo when I was a kid they actually talked about it on the tour.
Something else pretty cool is that on Galveston Island at "Dickens on the Strand" they have a large marching bagpipe band every year! My mom used to drag us to go see them. (Did I mention she's half Scot?) I just loved watching men in kilts myself!

YEAH!
I enjoyed that, and I didn't know that there was a Scots presence at The Alamo.
I have been to DULL however, and have a photo somewhere of me standing by the Dull road sign!
It's a lovely part of the world.
