Fuck the queen

Breaking news, a 90 year old woman died, who could have seen this coming.

First, if you are under her rule and complain about the destruction of your country, why, now, with her passing, would you act all stoic and pretend to mourn the loss of......a cunt.

Second, if you are not under her rule, why does anyone give this more than a single days news cycle of concern, for most countries it's meaningless, for some countries, like the US, we literally lost thousands of lives to tell these fucks to piss off. Why, as an american, should I care when a monarch from a country we fought for freedom against dies?

I find it amusing and sad, when "strong" voices that speak out against their leaders.........come to the defense of their recent passed leaders that fucked them over.

Pathetic.

If I call someone out as a piece of shit when they are alive, I'm not going to be laying roses at their grave if they pass. Have some god damn consistency for gods sake.

Well, personally, I wouldn't fuck her. 1 - she's 96 years old. 2 - she's dead. tinybigeyes

In Canada, we are under the monarchy but the majority of the population couldn't care less. It's outdated and obsolete. And it cost money.

Personally (again), I liked her. Not as a queen or a matriarch but as a business woman. And that is exactly what she was.

Now, we're going to have to change currencies, papers and the whole nine yards to King Chuck. How much is that gonna cost?

For me, it's as useful as going back to the moon again like they are planning to do. What the hell for? And how much is that gonna cost?

Workers need more money in their pockets. Not a Queen or a King. Nor another trip to the moon. It's ludicrous.

History of the world. Again.

Which ballot are you running on again? I need to place a bet on who would win using that as their main campaign.

True that!

In Canada, Provincial elections are coming. I'm going to vote for a party that I never liked. Simply because their platform will reinstate a certain freedom. We were the only darn place in the world that had to wear masks after everyone had stopped. There is safety and then there is stupidity. I want to put this covid shit far far behind me and this is the only party that will. But they don't have a slogan like what you've highlighted. Unfortunately.

That's some pretty strong stuff, certainly not as far as I would have taken it. However. . .

The moment they announced her death I said something like, "Dammit! Now they are going to go on and on about her death, the royal family, and the new king!" and my GF wanted to know what made me angry with the queen's death. I told her it was going to be like the OJ trial and sure, it's a sad day for the queen and the UK, but it's not about the US, it's no big deal to me.

She couldn't understand I meant no disrespect and I wasn't angry with the royal family or her subjects, just how the media jumps on her death and will ride the wave for at least a couple weeks. It does get me pretty pissed how they do that shit.

BREAKING: You will be pleased to know hospitals are cancelling appointments for cancer patients on the day of the Queen's funeral as a "mark of respect" and no, this one is not satire either.

Hi Mister!
I'm going to call-out some of this now, if I may...?

Quote:Breaking news, a 90 year old woman died, who could have seen this coming...

The Queen was 96 and yes, we all saw this coming, as she was getting frailer and frailer with every public appearance, and those were becoming fewer and further between.

Quote:First, if you are under her rule and complain about the destruction of your country, why, now, with her passing, would you act all stoic and pretend to mourn the loss of......a cunt...

Well, I did live "under her rule" and probably did complain about the monarchy on occasion, and I was also the one who posted the announcement bar here at RN3 as well as being the one who started the thread here in breaking news regarding her deteriorating health just before that, so...
"Why?" Was I "acting all stoic or pretending to mourn"? Was I actually upset and mourning for real?

No, actually.

I was making an announcement, about an event that the vast majority of people would agree has worldwide significance, and I did it within about one minute of the news officially breaking here. (*Pretty slick I reckon!)
There was no blowing smoke up her arse or insinuation of any emotion on my part whatsoever.

I think my actual statement was "The QUEEN HAS DIED. (Official)" and I haven't posted anything else regarding the matter since then.

Quote:Second, if you are not under her rule, why does anyone give this more than a single days news cycle of concern, for most countries it's meaningless, for some countries, like the US, we literally lost thousands of lives to tell these fucks to piss off. I'm guessing because she was a person of huge international significance?
One of the "richest" and most influential people on the planet.
"Newsworthy" if you will.
Although, to be fair... no one ever actually asked you personally to care.

Not sure who that's aimed at? The media maybe? Didn't they always bow down to The Queen / the Monarchy anyway?
There are some political leaders and public figures I suppose, who dislike the idea of a Monarchy, but acknowledge the efforts or achievements of a deceased monarch out of respect, or possibly to protect their own position by cow-towing to the high brows a bit, but I don't think we've done anything like that here at RN3?? Have we??

For clarification:
I announced The Queens deteriorating health here at RN3, and I announced her death here & posted the announcement bar at the top of the main page too. But that was for information purposes only, and the bar will be removed in a few days (as we always do with "significant news" announcements).
(*It's sort of one of my jobs here as a "VP of Admin" to keep members informed of significant events.)

I personally had no time for the monarchy and I still don't.
I will not mourn for her passing and I will not celebrate the ascendancy of King Charles III.

If your post/attack was aimed at other parties only, then I apologise for my response(s), but the specific target of your comments was not made very clear, and since I was the one who brought the subject to RN3's attention, then I felt that it was my "duty" to respond! Pun intended!

Quote:HISTORIC BADGE OF HONOUR

A MASONIC EMBLEM OF PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE HINTS AT THE HISTORY OF THE MSF

A key part of masonic history has been caught on camera as Her Majesty the Queen left hospital in March.
The nurse escorting the Queen out of the ward at King Edward VII’s Hospital was photographed wearing the signature belt buckle
and masonic jewel that shows she trained at the Royal Masonic Hospital, London.

The MSF was established in 1990 to take on the role of the Samaritan Fund at the Royal Masonic Hospital and since the closure of
the hospital six years later, the MSF has maintained the spirit and ethos of the original Samaritan Fund. King George V and Queen
Mary opened the Royal Masonic Hospital in 1933, and a School of Nursing was established there in 1948.

It quickly gained a reputation for producing highly skilled nurses whose silver belt buckles became a distinctive honour amongst the
profession...

@"AugustusMasonicus" might like to see that. Pretty darn cool.

So was the Queen ... but, it looks like someone made a smartass remark just as the photo was taken.

I remember seeing this buckle on ATS over 10 years ago.

I'm a sucker for pageantry, even when it carries baggage, history, and downright horrible tradition.

New pope? Show me some smoke.

Monarch dead? Show me the crowds.

Insurrection on certification day? Show me the prison sentences.  tinylaughing tinylaughing tinylaughing

But seriously, agree that it has worldwide significance to @Gordi and his point. But also agree that there are other priorities for 99% of the living and breathing population.

We are polar opposites on this one.

I can't stand pageantry or crowds. I even hate dressing up.

I guess I have been a tomboy all my life. Just give me a T-shirt and a pair of jeans, and I am good.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Oh I certainly hate crowds. It's more tradition for me than pageantry, probably not a good way of putting it. But in order for me to enjoy new popes and monarchs, death needs to strike first.

I too avoid crowds at all costs and good luck getting me in a suit & tie.
