5 meter Python ! People believe giant snake related to mythical creature
#1
Forget the mythical connect and just imagine a 5 meter Python (a little over 16 feet) lurking in your pig pin !

Quote:When a giant, 5-meter-long python was discovered in Sakon Nakhon yesterday, there was only one possible explanation for villagers — obviously the serpent is related to Phaya Naga, a mythical creature in Buddhist mythology.

The giant snake was discovered at Thawat village in Isaan province. Locals gathered to check out the cool python, which boasts 12 inches of girth. They agreed they’d never seen such a  majestic serpent.

That Dabsipai, 74, who discovered the snake, said that he was going to feed the boars that belong to the villagers. When he got to the stable, where they keep the baby boars, he found this snake lounging in it with the piglets nowhere to be found.

This is just a Shame that they still live and believe like it's the 13th century. You want to be-sure this is or isn't Phaya Naga, Simple set next to this Snake and go into a Meditative Trance.
The snake is suppose to protect you and stay by your side.

What if one of their Toddlers or Babies had gone missing?
No. kill it, Skin it and feed the village for a day or two.

The average Thai sees a snake; "Thai thinks bad snake" and automatically goes into KILL MODE. On a several occasions while playing golf I have captured their version of a Thai garter snake an a few snakes have been almost 4 foot long. The Thai girls and some of the guys go friggen crazy and run away .. They think I am some kind of witch doctor for the snakes always like me and never bite... It really freaks them out if I put the snake down my shirt !

As a kid growing up in Texas I always had a pet snake during the summer months. I would release what ever I had if I found a larger snake. Usually Coach Whips which are super predators of small varmints. On the other hand along a creek called Bear Creek my self and my shooting bud killed two hundred and thirty nine water moccasins (Cotton Mouths and short tails) one summer.. Bear creek stunk of dead snakes for a little over a week.

I am lucky for I have never had a phobia about critters... Just some I kill (like mosquitos ) and never think a thing about it.
