Bye Bye CNN I hope

Well one can hope and dream as I suppose .... 90% is that all !!?? Probably fake numbers as I would be surprised if they retained 10% of their viewership unless they are thinking airline terminals count for the 10% ? I guess lies and democrat propaganda finally caught up with them.... Good !

Quote:Tuning out! Viewership at scandal-plagued CNN plummets by as much as 90% from last year in both overall audience and in advertiser-coveted 25-to-54 demographic
  • CNN saw a sharp decline in viewership the first week of 2022 with a nearly 90% drop both overall and in the critical demographic coveted by advertisers
  • The network averaged just 548,000 viewers during the week of January 3, a precipitous drop to the nearly 2.7 million viewers from the same week in 2021
  • CNN in the last year has been plagued by high-profile scandals, most notably the firing of its top-rated prime time star Chris Cuomo
  • Critics have slammed network boss Jeff Zucker over the declining ratings, which began in 2021, with some accusing him of 'protecting perverts and pedophiles'

For one thing, they no longer have Trump to bash 24/7

And Project Veritas caught the CNN employee boasting to them about Trump, how they made up stories about his mental health in order to help Biden win.

He openly admitted that fear equals ratings.
(which we already know)

Then he stated since Trump was out of office,  that they would go back to harping on the climate change, gloom & doom porn.

Great for viewership = ratings tinysure

But now, with Chris Cuomo scandal,  along with the pedophile/sexual scandals
Not to mention the hateful, content controlling talking heads --- ooooh yeah, bye, bye baby!!

Such a shame that what Ted Turner built up -- once upon a time a respectable, unbiased news channel -- has sunk to an all time low (kinda like Biden's poll numbers)

They are almost going to have to clean house, shift their news stories to a more unbiased, less hateful reporting.
 If they can.
If they want to.

Not sure how long the stockholders will put up with their sinking investment before something gives

Maybe Fox or OAN can buy them out  minusculerolleyes

Meh. Ted Turner is a flaming communist, so their thrust is not surprising. Ted married "Hanoi Jane" Fonda. 'Nuff said.

I stopped watching CNN years ago, when I started noticing "irregularities" in their coverage of 9-11, mostly revolving around Christian Amanpour at that time. Never went back. I don't care if she has an Iranian background - if she's in America, and taking American money, she ought to throw in with America rather than becoming a Muslim apologist...

I mean, I was once a Muslim, too, but I know where my loyalties lie, and they ain't there.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

...Great for viewership = ratings...

This is a very important point as CNN and others, rely on emotive issues to drive those ratings.
A programme's content requires a lot to enhance and sustain a narrative -right or left, and if a preferred and
controversial target is no longer available, a new candidate from that same setting needs to be generated.

The sad part is that many who view the mainstream news don't realise that in order to purvey certain articles,
a lot of work and time goes into creating the stories with optics, interviews, appropriate background music
and preferred actors for the pieces. Hence, it isn't up-to-date news, but a managed creation to entertain and
deliberately trigger a response from those who view them.

'News' should be mundane at times, as events and incidents happen to everyone. But to the MSM, this isn't
believed to be ratings-worthy and so, gate-keeping becomes the norm with favoured news items sourced from
opinions. No different from a YouTube video about mythology and mysteries!

Due to the heavy investment from the political world, I'd guess that CNN will splutter on alongside others who
are and have been voice-boxes for donating lobbying-groups, big businesses and criminal organisations.

The current trash they're selling to the public might just be enough to get them to the mid-terms for the US,
but considering the possible outcome, it would leave the major networks with a difficult task on how to spin what
may lay ahead.

The one-thing I can't get my head around is if Trump was so evil and his policies so bad, why the MSM didn't linger
longer on the US-public's decision to vote for an alternative. Such an outcome should've been a welcoming boost of
confidence in the major outlets and show that telling those who pulled the handle for Biden did the right thing and
were directed to with practical, truthful coverage.

But it was just left behind, proof that the MSM got it right and that they were trustworthy. It felt like something wrong
was done for a reason and that reason was would good enough to do, but not discuss. Odd really, as it would've aligned
the public and the news-networks in a better situation to further the ratings.

The biggest story in recent years was how a TV entertainer and property-tycoon became a President and then lost to
a career-politician who also had no experience in governance. A tale of a contentious rich businessman who believed
he had the public's backing and yet, lost to someone who struggled to generate gatherings to speak to and grabbed
the White House with a massive majority vote in his favour.

Maybe such ponderings belong on a 'mysteries' YouTube video!

I personally believe that is to do with their complicity in promoting the sham of the last "election". To continue hammering on Trump 24/7 would invite closer scrutiny of that situation, a scrutiny that may well reveal things on a grand scale that they would prefer stay in the dark.

The emperor does not want to keep strutting across that same stage lest the audience realize that his "new" suit is really just his birthday suit.

Luckily, they've been given another hook to hang their hats on with the covid "pandemic", but now that one seems to be wearing thin as well.

One has to wonder what they have up their sleeves now, what it is that they have waiting in the wings to save them. Russia, maybe? They need another boogie man to keep the masses distracted.

Bread and circuses.

As already stated, they went all in on Trump hate.

Trump is gone and now they have nothing. It's not like they know how to journalism or anything.

I can't wait to see what the inevitable pivot is going to look like.

My money says they'll just pivot to game shows, and simply call it "news".

Yep, like Hugh Grant's character says in the movie 'Notting Hill', the media are the same.
