What if This is it?
#1
Time to put on your tin foil hat friends as I take you on this journey of "what if?"

What if... the powers that be know we are about to be hit by a solar flare large enough to take down our grid, so they come out with hints that Russia, or hackers, are going to take it down?  That way, the people will be in agreement to go after Russia in a full-scale war?

The narrator in the video below says we'll be hit sometime in August; he predicts August 17.
(There's that number again!)
He also says this large solar pulse could possibly be followed by large rocks hitting the moon and Earth. When they hit the earth, it will start massive fires.

Sounds like Revelations is here if this man is correct.

Time to head to the bunker?   tinyhuh

Fear porn?  I don't know, but we only have a couple of weeks until we find out.  tinyshocked

That’s three days before my birthday. A solar flare better not hit and mess it up  smalltappingfoot

My mom has been going on about this for a few days. I’ve seen so many of these predictions come and go that I’ve gotten pretty numb to them now.

I do still enjoy looking into them though because there is a tiny part of my brain that does wonder what if. I figure at some point it’s inevitable that we’ll be hit by something. As far as this one, if it were to happen, I’d have to wonder if people would be so busy trying to survive that they wouldn’t have time to blame hackers especially if it took everything down and we couldn’t get info.

New people seem to forget the dust bowl and how bad the temps and weather was from 1931 until 1936 which is actually the hottest recorded temps in the last hundred years or so.

Our magnetic shield is continuing to decrease which means it will not take a CME as strong as the Carrington event to cause much havoc IMO.

We missed a big CME already this month as it fired from the back side of the sun. As far a particular date; hang a calendar and throw darts you might hit something.. tinysurprised

Yeah, that would sure put a damper on your birthday for sure.  bigfrightened

Hope this guy is wrong.
Like you, I'm about numb to the fear porn, but one of these days it's going to be true and no one will be paying attention anymore. "The boy who cried wolf" and all that.

Yes, if the grid goes down and meteors start hitting us, I'm sure going to war with Russia will be the least of our worries. But, we have lots of Libtards on the planet, so you never know.   tinylaughing

I got caught in the click-bait trap. Shame on me!

I watched it just to find out how in the hell he thought "galactic cosmic rays" were gonna generate rocks to chuck at us. He never explained that, and after years at university studying Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics, I have no idea at all what a "galactic cosmic ray" is, anyhow. I know what cosmic rays are, but have never heard them broken down into "galactic cosmic rays" as opposed to cosmic rays from some other, unspecified, source.

Nor did he have any explanation for how he figured these "galactic cosmic rays" are on some kind of time table that would allow him to predict a specific month, let alone a specific date, that they would hit.

So, yeah, I'm gonna put this one in the "he's talking out his ass" column. Nothing he said makes any sense.

But it WAS appropriately named as "WTF files", because it left me wondering "WTF?"

Over on TOS, there's an interesting discussion about how a near encounter with another world may have caused the earth to -physically- tip over (real pole reversal), prompting the massive floods recorded by many cultures.  Thread has "Giza Pyramid" in the title if anyone is interested.

No matter what we think might be coming I think we can all agree that there is an overwhelming feeling amongst the populace that something wicked this way comes and that in all probability "that something" will arrive sometime this Fall. Most of us cannot shake this feeling even though many are not sure of what it means for them.

The reason Kdog and I took our big road trip was because something in my gut has been telling me for many months that we would never get the chance to take such a journey again. I pray my gut is wrong but it rarely is.

Hold the line, GeauxHomeLittleD... when Reuters have only Fauci-the-dickhead to quote AND have to refer to
other countries to attempt to scare the few remaining masker-bators, you know the masses aren't buying the
poorly performed fear-porn.
('Dickhead' is his proper title.)

Quote:U.S. will not lock down despite surge driven by Delta variant, Fauci says

'WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States will not lock down again to curb COVID-19 but “things are
going to get worse” as the Delta variant fuels a surge in cases, mostly among the unvaccinated, top U.S.
infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Sunday.

A sufficient percentage of Americans have now been vaccinated to avoid lockdowns, Fauci said on ABC’s
“This Week”. “Not enough to crush the outbreak, but I believe enough to not allow us to get into the situation
we were in last winter,” he said.

The average number of new coronavirus cases reported nationwide has nearly doubled in the past 10 days,
according to a Reuters analysis.

Idiot.

Even if states do not resort to lockdowns again, the spread of the Delta variant could still threaten the economy.

Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that the Delta variant
was “creating a bunch of caution” among millions of out-of-work Americans and could slow the U.S. labor market
recovery.

The surge in Delta variant cases is also rattling the globe. Parts of Asia that were previously relatively successful
in containing COVID-19, such as the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, are now locking down hot spots.
Some are pushing back against new restrictions.

From Monday, unarmed soldiers will help police Australia’s biggest city Sydney, checking that people who have
tested positive are isolating. In France, where the government is fighting a fourth wave of infections, thousands
of people protested for a third consecutive weekend against the introduction of a mandatory health pass proving
vaccination that will be required for entry to many public venues.

While vaccines remain scarce in much of the world, they are freely available to anyone 12 years or older in the
United States, where cash prizes, new cars and other incentives have failed to motivate more than a third of the
population to get immunized. (Graphic on global vaccinations) tmsnrt.rs/3tUM8ta

“We have 100 million people in this country who are eligible to be vaccinated who are not getting vaccinated,”
said Fauci, who is also director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases

About 58% of Americans have received at least one dose of vaccine, ranging from a high of 76% in Vermont
to a low of 40% in Mississippi. After declining for weeks, the number of Americans getting vaccinated has started
to rise again.

“The silver lining of this is that people are waking up to this and this may be a tipping point for those who have been
hesitant,” National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins told CNN on Sunday. “That’s what desperately needs
to happen if we’re going to get this Delta variant put back in its place, because right now it’s having a pretty big party
in the middle of the country.”

Florida has one of the worst outbreaks in the nation, based on new cases per capita and has seen infections rise
50% week-over-week. However, Governor Ron DeSantis has blocked mask mandates reut.rs/3BZTu3H in the state's
schools, saying parents should decide.

“It just makes common sense in a community where the virus is spreading, and that’s pretty much all of Florida right
now, to do everything you can to prevent that, which includes mask wearing for kids in schools,” Collins said...'

I agree @"GeauxHomeLittleD".  I've had that same feeling. I hate to keep telling people to get prepared with food, water, meds, etc. all the time, but I can't shake the feeling that things are about to get bad.

I think at least one part will be the internet going down at the end of the month, just about the time they are ready to release the audit for the 2020 steal.
I've heard that the left and RINOS on Capitol Hill are shaking in their boots.
Also saw a leak that they probably stole 6 or 7 Senate seats. Heck, we probably would have won the House too, if truth be known.

Why Are ‘Conspiracy Theorists’ Worried About an Impending Power Grid Failure?

Rich have their own power generators, solar panels, batterys....or satellite internet...

When the grid goes down, everything dependent on it dies. If the scenario is an EMP or a solar flare, satellite internet no longer means anything - no one has power to send or receive it, and the satellites themselves are fried. Communication of every sort other than speaking face to face suddenly goes away.

Batteries have to be charged. No power grid, no more charged batteries.
Solar panels are vulnerable. They have a large collection surface, and connected transmission wiring to get their power where it needs to go.

EMP destroys the power grid by an induced overload, which fries critical components. The overload is generated in the wiring of the grid, and then travels through that same wiring to critical points of failure. Transformers explode. Generation stations have all of their myriad connections melted down. even household appliances connected to the grid get zapped. Windings in electrical motors burn up. Microchips in appliances fry. It only takes 7/10ths of ONE volt to fry a standard, full sized transistor. Microchips, with millions of tiny, tiny transistors on a single chip, don't stand a prayer - just the static electricity from your finger can zap one.

Even a desktop computer, shielded inside a steel case, is susceptible - even if it is unplugged from the grid. As long as that power cord is still attached to it, it'll fry. 3 feet of wire, connected to an electronic device, is plenty enough to generate enough voltage to smoke that device, induced in the wire by EMP.

Rich folks might THINK they are immune, but they aren't. They'll be around the same campfires cooking chunks of their neighbors on pointed sticks as everyone else. Or BEING cooked by the neighbors they couldn't catch.

Compounding these fact is an additional fact - power companies do not stockpile anything like enough equipment to replace a power grid fried by an EMP. The manufacturers don't stockpile enough, either. Almost all of it will have to be MADE... and how is anyone going to make it without power to do so? It's a catch-22 situation. Whether the chicken or the egg comes first no longer matters when there is no more roosters to fertilize the eggs. A power grid is near impossible to repair without the power to make the components required.

It would take decades, because the first components would have to be made by hand, and that knowledge is almost extinct now. Those first components would have to be made by hand, in order to get ONE power station up an running enough to get the power to create more components, to get more power stations up and running, to make more components - and all that would have to be done before they even thought of getting to the power grid the rest of us know and love right now.

Remember when you were a kid, and granny always had a cellar full of mason jars on shelves? Just about anything you could want, produced at home, and stored for later use? Granny learned that as a necessity during the Great Depression. We all need to re-learn it now, BEFORE the crunch hits.

ANYTHING can be canned, from veggies to fruit to meats. My Dear Old Dad used to even can fish, great big monsters caught out of South Holston Lake. I've also seen him can pork after we butchered a hog. Doesn't matter how big it is - you just cut it down to size, to git into quart jars. Granny also had a smoke house, where everything from hogs to cattle to deer were preserved for the future use.

I've noticed several home-brewed smokehouses going again, chugging out the smoke, in the past two years.

Granny had a cellar plumb full of mason jars. She had a smokehouse plumb full of hams, beef, and deer. She even had a shed full of bundles of dried herbs, dried fruit and veggies on strings, and such-like. All of it came from the farm, or the surrounding woods. Granny didn't need much money - she already had a replenishable stock of what she needed. Granny was prepared. granny was a survivor.

When the word "hunting" is mentioned these days, most folks think of big game - deer and bigger. But when I was a kid, I ate so many squirrels, rabbits, and groundhogs that it practically fell out of my ears. As a teenager, I fed myself off of that same sort of stock, and here's a hint - small stuff is far more abundant and easier to catch than big stuff. I know that for fact. Frogs (don't waste 'em - there is more meat on a frog than just the legs), turtles... even snakes. If you're determined to eat, the food is out there, even if it's just the stuff that other folks are too squeamish to eat.

I can recall walking home as a teenager, carrying a 15 pound snapping turtle by the tail and at arm's length because I had nothing to kill it with on me when I caught it, and it still wanted to eat me... but we see now which direction that eating went. A mere 15 pounds gets pretty heavy when you carry it at arms length after a half mile or so, but I got it home and ate it all the same. The turtle snapping at you, still trying to eat you, provides a great incentive to keep that arm up and stretched out, no matter how heavy it seems to be getting.

I used to hunt frogs with a blow gun. I still have 3 blow guns. I've even killed rabbits with a thrown rock when I had nothing else handy.

It's why I am frantically gathering in seed that will consistently sprout. It's why I have learned how to make my own paper cartridges for black powder guns. It's why I learned to make my own powder to fill those cartridges with. It's why I learned to make my own caps to fire those cartridges with. It's why I learned long ago how to make my own bows and arrows. It why I have seed for a particular type of pampas grass that grows a stem that is perfect for arrows. It's the why for a lot of things I do.

When it comes time to survive, get right down to the business of survival without delay. Hit the ground running. That's easier to do if you are prepared beforehand.

It's amazing the Earth has NOT been hit by something major from the sun in the last 100 years or so. It makes sense to be cautious when considering what could happen because it most likely will happen. Not fear porn but just statistics.

You guys would have to educate me on the subject but I thought solar flares/CME/etc. are not really predictable. We know they happen. We can see them coming a few days off. Not sure how anyone would know for sure a big one is coming farther into the future like a comet or something.

I am not dismissing intuition or hunches as I am convinced there is something very real involved with them. Matter of fact, it makes me a little nervous when someone tuned in like that says something. (Stop scaring me GeauxHomeLittleD  tinyhuh )

If the power does go out long term, I will really miss you guys.

It isn't a solar flare. First, those are not predictable like that. Wouldn't work that way...although Sol is MORE than capable of producing a society ending flare or even a 'life on planet' ending pulse to remove that pesky atmosphere we've gotten kinda attached to having around us.

Having said that....

I've heard the same thing, in different variations, for 20 years. I've heard it from sources I've considered credible, reasonable and level headed. I've also usually only heard it mentioned once from any given direction I've heard it mentioned at all. 'It' being a blast wave, bow shock, energy pulse, or whatever else you may want to call it originating somewhere out yonder in deep space, but within range for the wave to do serious damage and nasty bad things to little parts of life ..like DNA...the ability to breathe oxygen...you know, pesky stuff we don't miss until something goes wrong. Now, in watching the establishment closely since 2010 or so...I'll say they have gone through lulls and surges of panicky behavior...like they have no certain timeline for its arrival, but certain that it eventually will pass over our little rock.

....and what the heck? I've gone funny in the noggin with too many tin foil hats, huh?

Not really.... Tree rings indicate such energy waves have come from sources outside our solar system, without warning, and with profound impact. A.D. 774-775 was one, but not the sole, example of this phenomenon ...and to strike a technologic Earth where we depend on electronics and have little to no defense, much less protection available? It'd be the worst parts of the Bible...if we survived the pulse at all. I'm dubious ....or it might come down to which side of Earth was facing it as it passed over and through us.

Mid-August? Yeah... I'll be relieved to see September come and know there is nothing to that date range. Too many things are lining up again, and its feeling like late 2012 all over again. Only, this time, its not myth or crystal skulls headlining the doom show....and it feels a whole lot more real than it did then. I think we're going through 'it' for real, this time ...whatever 'it' does prove to be in real world terms.

i've wondered this whole time during the rona and vaccine push if the ptb's know something we don't and are starting the cull before it happens.
then those that survive after the culling and the event (what ever it maybe) well be their servants looking for the merciful handouts that they will bestow on them.

just hope i survive so i can be a pain in their ass, as i'll be on the hit and run side of things. but i'm getting a little to old to be doing that for hours on end. so it needs to happen soon, or i'll be one of the sheep. that's not for me.

plus there's always the possibility that no matter how much you prepare, that you and yours will be one of the first to go down, and then all your shit will be left for somebody else. that's not so bad if the people that get it are decent folks. just burns my ass to think that some sorry piece of shit will find my stuff and use it to take  away other decent peoples stuff.

guess i  need to brush up on my booby trapping skills.

I must say if what we witnessed on our 3 week road trip is any indication- People are not just lapping up the Koolaid anymore. The National Parks are packed to the gills with very, very FEW folks wearing face diapers, mostly just foreigners and black people and not even many of those.

I DO believe that most people still have a feeling that SOMETHING is coming. Whether that something is some worldwide political power grab, the comet of doom, a fake alien invasion (we may have witnessed some evidence of a warm up to this) or whatever there is a sense that something big is coming down the pike. Personally I am still rooting for the zombie apocalypse but economic crash is far more likely and not exactly far off the mark if you think about it.
