The Best of the RNC

There were so many good speeches last night, but this one stands out.

Maximo Alvarez was born in Cuba so he knows what Communism looks like and he's trying to warn us before our country turns into a third world country.

I implore all of you to listen. Forget what party you support and listen to this man.

His speech is embedded in the article below. I couldn't find it separately on You Tube.

Quote:Cuban-born businessman Maximo Alvarez says he hears echoes of Fidel Castro’s “empty promises” in Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s platform.

Alvarez warned against embracing socialist policies during a speech at the Republican National Convention on Monday night.
Alvarez began his address by sharing how his family fled from Cuba to the United States.
He took aim at Biden and claimed he is “mostly concerned about power.”

“I’m speaking to you today because I have seen people like this before. I have seen movements like this before. I’ve seen ideas like this before. And I am here to tell you, we cannot let them take over our country,” Alvarez said.
He continued, “I heard the promises of Fidel Castro, and I can never forget all those who grew up around me, who looked like me, who suffered and starved and died because they believed those empty promises. They swallowed the communist poison pill.”
Watch Alvarez’s remarks below:

He continued to blast the “false promises” of Biden and said they “don’t sound radical to my ears,” rather he said they remind him of what Castro promised to the Cuban people.
“I hear echoes of a former life I never wanted to hear again. I see shadows I thought I had outrun,” he added.

Quote:“I may be Cuban-born, but I am 100% American. This the greatest country in the world. And I said this before, if I gave away everything that I have today, it would not equal 1% of what I was given when I came to this great country of ours: the gift of freedom.”

Finally, Alvarez said Americans can choose between Biden, and the rest of the “D.C. swamp,” who he said will “hand the country over to those dangerous forces” of anarchy and communism.

“You and I will decide. And here’s what I’ve decided, my decision is very easy,” he said as he grew visibly emotional. “I choose President Trump because I choose America. I choose freedom.”
“I still hear my dad. There is no other place to go,” he added.

Ominous!!

Why is it so easy for some people to forget exactly what it is they're asking for?

Should have crossed through Checkpoint Charlie with me and headed into Czechoslovakia or Poland back when they were secured behind the Iron Curtain.

It may have been staged, it may have been produced, but his pardon brought a tear to my eye.

Yes, that was a sight to see.   minusculethumbsup

I didn't watch much of it last night (day 2), but I did watch the clip from Nick Sandmann.
I'm so very happy he took CNN to the cleaners for their false reporting about his story.                   minusculegoodjob

I didn't watch night 3 of the convention, but I did watch it in full last night.  So many great speakers!

The lady who President Trump pardoned from prison was very emotional. Also, the woman who lost her husband, a retired police officer, to a senseless shooting from a mobster in the street while he was protecting a business outside.
Both of these stories made me cry.

The only short clip I could find was of Ivanka Trump. She gave an excellent speech before introducing her father.

If you want to skim through the entire RNC from last night, here it is.  I loved the fireworks at the end too.

After the RNC was over, the mob were waiting in the streets to intimidate people leaving who attended the event.

This video interview shows them almost attacking Rand Paul as he attempted to get to his hotel.

Tick Toc's Opinion channel showed the mob awaiting the attendees as they left the RNC. Start at the 2:26:27 mark.

It was reported that the protesters could be heard chanting/screaming in the background several blocks away while the RNC was taking place.

She did give a good speech.  Biden might have a chance at the Oval Office if he could speak so well.

Buwhahahahahaha!!
