Quote:Conspiracy theorists have claimed the Mayan calendar was wrong, and that the world will end in 2020, not 2012 as predicted.

Humanity has faced a pandemic, wild fires and a plague of locusts in 2020, and theorists believe there is more horror on the way.

The theory is based on the fact the Gregorian calendar was introduced in 1581, and 11 days were lost to better reflect the time it takes Earth to orbit the sun.
Over 286 years, those 11 days add up, and conspiracy theorists have claimed we should be in 2012.
Scientists Paolo Tagaloguin said "we are technically in 2012," and June 21st 2020 should actually be December 21st 2012.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHA!

<gasp for air>

HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!

That was a good one - as if Mayans ever gave a crap about the Gregorian calendar! They had their own calendars, before Europeans ever arrived with theirs... never heard of the Gregorian, never factored it in!

That horse died years ago - they can stop beating it's carcass any second now.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Oh God no... let's not even joke about going back to 2012!
We will all have to relive the sorrow of knowing that-that was the year Davy Jones from The Monkees passed away.
I couldn't... I just couldn't.
tinyhuh

But seriously, do you know why this subject arose this year...? It isn't about the Mayan calendar and it's flaky interpretation.
It's to do with what Journalists call 'circular fluff'... diverse stories that connect to a main and topical theme. These old articles
are adjusted, polished and delivered as new and info-taining shyte to a new generation who missed them the first time around.

In 2012, the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus outbreak occurred and seeing it had a connection to our current
situation, other 2012 stories bubble-up from the media's archives. Although, in most cases with today's media activists, they
simply Google other instances of virus flare-ups and see what happened that same year.

Yer' gotta fill those columns, mate!!
