'The derelict home of a real-life “Wicker Man” and infamous Satanist has been put up for sale – for more than £500,000.
Boleskine House in Foyers, a Georgian property on the banks of Loch Ness, used to be owned by the notorious Aleister
Crowley  and is said to have been where he carried out what he claimed were black magic ritual between 1899 and 1933.

Crowley, born in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, in 1875, was an occultist, writer and mountaineer who rejected
Christian doctrine and established his own religion called Thelema, DailyRecord reports.

Calling himself a prophet, he said he would be the one to guide humanity into the so-called Aeon of Horus –an age of
spiritual interest and self-realisation. He died aged 72 in Hastings, Sussex, in 1947 and the B-listed building was later
occupied by legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.

In 2015, a major fire devastated the building leading to rumours it was haunted or cursed.
Agent Galbraith's say there is an opportunity for prospective buyers to restore the 9.5 hectacre grounds...'

If the 1973 movie of 'The Wicker Man' is anything to go by, there's a lot of sex and wearing of animal-masks!

And we'll still need a roof.

I never liked the wicker man movies, perhaps because they show how easy it is for humans to do evil wile believing that are doing what is best.
As far as Crowley is concerned he was just a narcissist who liked to shock people. If drinking milk had been seen as evil he would of drank it all the time, he did everything he could think of to get noticed

Oh come on, it was an easy way for rich, upper-class, English movie director -in the seventies, to get Britt Ekland to show her boobs!!
tinylaughing  (You can tell the film was all about soft porn, IMDB state in its Trivia-section that Willow's dance -played by Ekland,
took thirteen hours to shoot!!)

But I have to agree with the Crowley comment. He was a poncy-toff that in later years, people have promoted into something
he never was, truly evil.

But when it comes to creating something that viewers would really dislike, the Nick Cage version really hit the mark!
