Alabama Imams vs Christian Chaplains... In The Lethal Injection Room.
#1
Damn, he should've thought about the consequences when he raped and murdered the kid.
Just sayin'.

'The US state of Alabama has executed a Muslim inmate after the Supreme Court dismissed his appeal for
a imam to be present with him at death. Convicted murderer Dominique Ray was killed by lethal injection on
Thursday as scheduled.

Dominique Ray.

Ray's lawyers had argued that the state favoured Christians because a chaplain was allowed to be in the room
with inmates. Imam Yusef Maisonet instead watched from an adjacent room, reports said.

On Wednesday a federal appeals court agreed to a temporary delay to the execution, saying in its judgement that
Ray had a "powerful" claim against the state because it refused to "provide the same benefit to a devout Muslim
and all other non-Christians".

However Alabama quickly appealed to the Supreme Court, which ruled five to four in its favour.

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) employs a Christian chaplain who has been in the execution room
for nearly every execution since 1997 -but ADOC refused to allow a non-employee to be in the execution chamber
instead of the chaplain.

Ray had been an inmate for close to 20 years, the New York Times reported, and converted to Islam while in prison.
He was sentenced to death in 1999 for raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl in 1995...'

But maybe all of this is about standards? Maybe it's about an established manner of using capital
punishment? A recognised dignity in a situation that some may seem as brutal.

Meanwhile, standards of a judicial system in a Muslim-orientated country can be seen to more debatable
than the one above in Alabama.

Execution Yemen-style. No Chaplain present though.

'Two  paedophiles have been executed with AK-47s in front of a bloodthirsty crowd for raping and murdering a
12-year-old boy in Yemen. Chilling images show Wadah Refat and Mohamed Khaled being marched at gunpoint
through the port city of Aden.

Yemen is one of the few countries in the world where capital punishment is legal, and even children were in attendance
to watch the gruesome event. Refat, 28, and Khaled, 31, were condemned for the abduction, rape, and murder of a
young boy who was snatched after playing next to the house of one of the men.

The pair reportedly dragged him into their home and raped him.
When sentencing the pair, The Daily Star reported that the judge said: “After the rape, they could not silence the cries of
the child who begged for help, one of them grabbed a knife and cracked his neck.”

All capital punishment sentences must be ratified by the President of Yemen, and usually involve a firing squad.
Offences are usually violent acts such as murder, rape and terrorism, but the death penalty can also be used for acts
contrary to Sharia Law, such as adultery and blasphemy.

Three other men were previously shot dead and hung from cranes for a similarly crime involving a young boy.
Another paedophile who raped a four-year-old girl was also shot and then hung on display.

Dr Salah Mohamed Hussein, director of the Forensic Unit, checks to see if the cartoons
were true and that water really does come out of the bullet-holes afterwards.

Human Rights Watch director Sarah Leah Whitson condemned the sentencing in Yemen.
She said: “Public execution is an even more grotesque violation of human rights, particularly in a country where the ability
of the accused to obtain adequate legal representation and the coverage of the process is highly limited.”...'

(By the way, the first image was labelled 'MUZZED-MORE_execution_fo' by The Sun, 'Muzzies' must be an okay-name
for Muslims then?!)
