For Ocasio-Cortez, You Just Pay For It.
#1
Have you ever been skint...? I mean have you ever had no money and no access to money to get
you and your family through the week? If not, you've been lucky and these days, I've got to admit
that many of the young can't ever comprehend such a situation.

That's why we get this...

Quote:Ocasio-Cortez calls question about how to pay for Medicare for all ‘puzzling’.

'New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had a quick answer when asked how Americans
would pay for the 'Medicare for all' plan she and other socialist-leaning Democrats favor: "Just pay for it."

In an interview with Jorge Ramos last week, Ocasio-Cortez was asked how she would pay for the multibillion-dollar
health care plan promoted by liberal lawmakers like Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif. Ramos
noted critics say the program would be "more expensive" than the current system, to which she answered that people
would "just pay for it."

“People often say, like, how are you going to pay for it and I find the question so puzzling because ‘How do you pay for
something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent?’ You just pay for it,” she said.
“We’re paying more now.”

According to recent studies, the program, first introduced by Sanders over the summer, would increase government
health spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years.

The spending hikes would allow the government to replace what employers and consumers currently pay for health care
-delivering significant savings on administrative and drug costs, but increasing demand for care that would drive up
spending, according to a study released by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University over the summer.

The study estimated that doubling all federal individual and corporate income taxes would not fully cover the additional
costs for the program. But under the plan, all Americans would gain access to government insurance with no copays
or deductibles for medical services.

The insurance industry would be relegated to a minor role in the system. Supporters argue that other developed countries
already have implemented systems like this, and America’s private insurance-centered model continues to leave some
families with crushing costs.

“In a modern, moral and wealthy society, no person should be too poor to live,” Ocasio-Cortez told Ramos.
“We should treat healthcare, housing, and education as rights.”
She added: “I believe we should guarantee a basic level of human dignity in America.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who defeated long-time incumbent Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., is the
front-runner in her midterm race Tuesday against her Republican opponent Anthony Pappas...'

I wish to hell some of these jackasses would get the bright idea to actually address actual health care rather than continually bending us over for the insurance companies.

Seriously - when was the last time you allowed an insurance adjuster to remove your gallbladder?

Insurance is NOT health care - it's just a scam meant to skin you out of your money, with nothing to show for it.

I have no insurance, and had to go to hospital earlier this year. I was there about 90 minutes total, 20 or so of which involved a "procedure" that I could have done at home with a pocket knife and gritted teeth... and which was ultimately useless and unnecessary, anyhow. For that, I got charged $5500.00. That works out to 7500.00 an hour for the doctor, and $2000.00 an hour for the hospital - nice work I guess, if you can get it. There is not an insurance plan anywhere within a thousand miles of here that would have covered the first penny of it.

I don't make quite that much per hour.

And the doctor tried to talk me into surgery with yet ANOTHER doctor, after that. No thanks.

If they would just address actual health care costs and get them into the reasonable range, we could all tell the insurance companies to pound salt up their asses. Instead, they insist of getting captive extortionees for the insurance companies, guarantee them an exorbitant income without requiring them to actually pay, you know, health care costs, and those private corporation laugh all the way to the bank.

All the while, the politicos are studiously ignoring actual, you know, health care, but boldly naming it as the reason for their silly-assed laws, as if health care had any goddamned thing at all to do with what they are doing.

Even this silly Socialist plan is just about government insurance, not a goddamned thing to do with actual HEALTH CARE.

Bastards, the lot of 'em.

I have no doubt that ballots were rigged, but New York didn't need the rigging to go full stupid - it's already bred into their DNA if the New Yorkers I've had to deal with are any gauge. Granted, I've not dealt with every New Yorker in existence, but the ones who have floated my way define stupid.

Virginia surprised me, putting that idjit Kaine back in office again. I've no idea what they were thinking.

Maybe we've been infiltrated by an overabundance of New Yorkers, same as North Carolina has been.

Luckily, I DO have alcohol in the house. I'll save you a few shots.

Ocasio-Cortez won her election ! What does that tell you about the education system in America and the sickness of not being able to add two plus two. How many more years before the republic rots from within and no longer exist ?

There are times I think about all those who died to make America and its' borders what it is today just to see it rotting from the globalist socialist infected filth..... not something I enjoy seeing.

We can only hope those like Ocasio-Cortez joins the line at the trough and is forgotten about.

Most will be happy just for her being the youngest woman elected to Congress... it means little on its own,
but since today's mantra of the youth is 'put-in-little-but-demand-a-lot-out', the feminists will crow about
it in their bedrooms until they're called down for dinner.

For a month or so she'll talk about helping dolphin-friendly lesbians get free sanitary-towels, breaking the
imagined chains in the kitchen of the white man and how rubbing unicorn-shit across your breasts will enlighten
you to a better world.
But at the end of the day, she'll fall in line and take the money.

Oh here we go, an early passenger on the gravy-train.
Can't Ocasio-Cortez just pluck the rent from her imagined money tree?

Quote:Millennial congresswoman 'can't afford rent'.

'The youngest woman ever elected to Congress has a problem -she can't afford her rent.
That is until she starts her new job in January.

After telling the New York Times she's waiting for her first pay cheque before renting an apartment
in Washington DC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is again being called the "millennial Congresswoman".

On Friday Fox News presenter Ed Henry suggested the 29-year-old wasn't telling the full truth because
she wore "multi-thousand dollar outfits" in a magazine.
Ms Ocasio-Cortez responded on Twitter, pointing out the clothes were lent to her for the photo shoot.

Her comments -"I've really been just kind of squirreling away and then hoping that gets me to January"
-got many on Twitter empathising with her.

"Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez not being able to afford DC rent is the
most millennial thing ever and I honestly vibe with it," tweeted one user.

Ms Ocasio-Cortez joins Republican Elise Stefanik, 34, and newly-elected Democrat Ilhan Omar, 36,
among others, in the "millennial caucus" in Congress. She was elected to New York's 14th congressional
district, after running a progressive campaign that focused on issues including poverty, wealth inequality
and immigration.

Born in the Bronx to Puerto Rican parents, she describes herself as working-class and she worked in
restaurants until early 2018 to supplement her salary as a community activist.
"For 80% of this campaign, I operated out of a paper grocery bag hidden behind that bar," she told Bon
Appetit magazine.

Ms Ocasio-Cortez's financial disclosure shows that she earned about $26,500 (£20,000) last year.
On Thursday she tweeted that her accommodation dilemma also demonstrates how the American
electoral system "isn't designed for working-class people to lead".

Others on Twitter agreed:
"Goes to show how divorced the system and most elected officials are
from normal people that a normal person can't readily begin to serve
without starting out wealthy," wrote one.

"That's reality for a lot of people. Will be nice to have someone in Congress that literally understands
the struggle," commented @Lauralouisiana...'

You know, money-wise, that Congress thing sounds like a nice gig if you can get it... but I just can't compromise my morals enough to run on a communist platform. Maybe she can start a go fund me account to support her habits until that pay check starts rolling in - Leftists have a time honored tradition of getting by on other folks' money!

Hell, in Nicaragua now, I hear that the Sandinistas rulers have thoroughly enriched themselves on the backs of the people they were allegedly fighting for, are all wealthy businessmen and politicians now, and all those people are now much poorer for it. Nicaragua is now the second poorest nation in the western hemisphere, second only to Haiti, dropping from one of the most economically viable nations in Central America.

Let that sink in a bit before you decide to vote left or join the Revolution.
