The European Union & It's Problems.
#21
Most of the snowflakes and those only vaguely aware of the European Union believe that
it's an equal-across-the-board group of countries and was once actually called the 'European
Economic Community'.

These group enjoyed equal trade, the same -or similar currency levels and felt that warm feeling
that they are all the same.

Bullshit... and there's lots of it.

Quote:France fuel protest: One dead in 'yellow vest' blockades.

'One protester has died and dozens were injured as almost a quarter of a million people took to the streets of
France angry, at rising fuel prices. The female protester who died was struck after a driver surrounded by
demonstrators panicked and accelerated.

The "yellow vests", so-called after the high-visibility jackets they are required to carry in their cars, blocked motorways
and roundabouts. They accuse President Emmanuel Macron of abandoning "the little people".

Mr Macron has not so far commented on the protests, some of which have seen demonstrators call for him to resign.
But he admitted earlier in the week that he had not "really managed to reconcile the French people with their leaders".
Nonetheless, he accused his political opponents of hijacking the movement in order to block his reform programme.

What has happened so far?
Some 244,000 people took part in protests across France, the interior ministry said in its latest update.
It said 106 people were injured during the day, five seriously, with 52 people arrested.
Most of the protests have been taking place without incident although several of the injuries came when drivers tried
to force their way through protesters.

Chantal Mazet, 63, was killed in the south-eastern Savoy region when a driver who was taking her daughter to hospital
panicked at being blocked by about 50 demonstrators, who were striking the roof of her vehicle, and drove into them.
The driver has been taken into police custody in a state of shock.

In Paris protesters approaching the Élysée Palace, the president's official residence, were repelled with tear gas.

Why are drivers on the warpath?
The price of diesel, the most commonly used fuel in French cars, has risen by around 23% over the past 12 months to an
average of €1.51 (£1.32; $1.71) per litre, its highest point since the early 2000s, AFP news agency reports.

World oil prices did rise before falling back again but the Macron government raised its hydrocarbon tax this year by 7.6
cents per litre on diesel and 3.9 cents on petrol, as part of a campaign for cleaner cars and fuel.
The decision to impose a further increase of 6.5 cents on diesel and 2.9 cents on petrol on 1 January 2019 was seen as
the final straw.

Speaking on Wednesday, the president blamed world oil prices for three-quarters of the price rise.
He also said more tax on fossil fuels was needed to fund renewable energy investments.

How big is the movement?
It has broad support. Nearly three-quarters of respondents to a poll by the Elabe institute backed the Yellow Vests and 70%
wanted the government to reverse the fuel tax hikes. More than half of French people who voted for Mr Macron support the
protests, Elabe's Vincent Thibault told AFP.

"The expectations and discontent over spending power are fairly broad, it's not just something that concerns rural France or
the lower classes," he said...'

There -right there is the admission. 'Lower Classes'.

Quote:'...The BBC's Lucy Williamson in Paris says the movement has grown via social media into a broad and public criticism of
Mr Macron's economic policies.

Are opposition politicians involved?
They have certainly tried to tap into it. Far-right leader Marine Le Pen, who was defeated by Mr Macron in the second round
of the presidential election, has been encouraging it on Twitter. She said: "The government shouldn't be afraid of French people
who come to express their revolt and do it in a peaceful fashion."...'

Oh, so Le Pen being reported of having mental issues has died-down then!

Quote:'...Laurent Wauquiez, leader of the centre-right Republicans, called on the Macron government to scrap the next planned
increase in carbon tax on fossil fuels in January to offset rising vehicle fuel prices. Mr Castaner has described Saturday's
action as a "political protest with the Republicans behind it".

Olivier Faure, leader of the left-wing Socialist Party said the movement -which has no single leader and is not linked to any
trade union -had been "born outside political parties".
"People want politicians to listen to them and respond. Their demand is to have purchasing power and financial justice," he said.

Is there any room for compromise?
On Wednesday, the government announced action to help poor families pay their energy and transport bills.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced that 5.6 million households would receive energy subsidies.
Currently 3.6 million receive them...'

Another indication that the Elite want the masses to rely on their hand-outs. They will make the decisions on who gets what.

Quote:'...A state scrappage bonus on polluting vehicles would also be doubled for France's poorest families, he said, and fuel tax credits
would be brought in for people who depend on their cars for work.

Protesters have mocked the president relentlessly as "Micron" or "Macaron" (Macaroon) or simply Manu, the short form of Emmanuel,
which he famously scolded a student for using...'

I heard from a friend that is leaving France with her husband and going to the Philippines to leave because the Cast system has returned, she said that her husband calls himself and their friends, slaves to the wealthy. Even though he's retired with a good pension, they can't afford to live as well as when they both were working.

She thinks that there are really just two classes of people left in the E.U.
The Rich and the Poor, even the working people are poor.

She is a friend of mine from China and she married a Frenchman who was high up in the Military and then Civil Service.

The Socialist Dream of the NWO which the E.U. was a test bed for is failing.

I agree, but I'd be surprised if introducing culturally-ignorant migrants, demanding ridiculous
regulations and putting an armed force on France's streets were deliberately done for the sole
reason of producing a class-gulf.

From what was called 'The Common Market', it has evolved into a powerhouse that has set its
sights on being the United States of Europe. And just as the career-US leaders -who are always
in the frame and are worth millions, the EU Elders have little in common with those they're supposed
to serve.

They see the masses as nothing more than a rabble who would be lost without their guiding hand.
And they hate them.

Your friends have good sense.

Sunday is for cleaning up the debris from the French capital's riots, but the truth is the fuel-price increase
effects all of France. I suppose the media within the European Union will be all over it, yes?

France 24 says:
"#NousToutes: Tens of thousands protest violence against women in Paris"

Oh...er, well, maybe the European media are more focused on derailing Theresa May's Brexit plan through
a bit of word-smithing, eh?

Quote:'Macron must resign': Furious protests at rising fuel prices across France.

In a second week of demonstrations, thousands are protesting against the steep rise in diesel prices
brought in by the president.

'Police in Paris have used tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters who are furious over rising fuel
costs.

Damage not done by refugees for a change.

Demonstrations and road blockades have been planned nationwide as the "yellow vest" protests enter a second
weekend. They have been named after the fluorescent jackets worn by protesters, which motorists must keep in
their cars by law.

In the capital, hundreds descended on the Champs Elysee, where officers used cordons to stop them from advancing
to the presidential palace nearby. Some of the protesters were singing the national anthem, while others brandished
placards demanding the resignation of French President Emmanuel Macron and calling him a "thief".

Eventually, words turned to action for some protesters who were spotted tearing up paving stones to throw at police
as fires were lit in the streets.
Officials say 19 people were injured in the clashes, including four officers. Forty people were arrested.

Mr Macron responded and condemned the violence.
Thanking the police on Twitter, he carried on to say in a tweet: "Shame on those who attacked them.
Shame on those who have abused other citizens and journalists. Shame on those who tried to intimidate the elect.
No place for this violence in the Republic."

France looking after it's citizens.

Protesters are opposed to the taxes that Mr Macron introduced last year on diesel and petrol, which are designed
to encourage people to use more environmentally friendly forms of transport.
The price of diesel has risen 23% in the past 12 months, while Mr Macron's approval rating has sunk as slow as 21%
in recent opinion polls.

Away from the capital, highways have been blocked - with burning barricades and convoys of slow-moving trucks
obstructing access to fuel depots, shopping centres and factories.

Two people have been killed in the protests so far, including a 62-year-old woman who was run over by a motorist
who panicked after her car was surrounded by demonstrators. A poll this week indicated that 73% of people in France
have expressed support for the protests, which have been characterised as a grassroots movement lacking in clear
leadership.

Last weekend's demonstrations attracted an estimated 250,000 people.
Mr Macron has admitted that he has "not succeeded in reconciling the French with their leaders" and had "not given
them enough consideration", but is standing firm and refusing to rescind the fuel taxes.

One protester, Esteban, told Sky News last week that he was considering taking a second job to pay for his transport,
and believed fuel tax increases, imposed as part of Mr Macron's anti-fossil fuel strategy, were "for the money"...'

Perhaps the people of France have understood that the fuel tax is more about paying for the refugee "imports" than anything else.

Quote:Government employees have been ordered to avoid walking near a Brussels park during their work commute after a slew of robberies and attacks by migrants in recent weeks, according to local media.

Since October 1st, at least seven public workers have been ambushed while passing through Maximilian Park en route from a nearby transit station to the Flemish Administrative Center, Der Standaard reports.
"Given the current social context and the dark days, it is best for your safety to avoid the Maximilian Park and to focus on well-lit main roads," civil servants were advised, according to SCEPTR.
Government employees union ACOD has instructed members to either make the journey via a provided shuttle bus service, or take a taxi, asserting that prior warnings about the increasing danger have drawn ridicule.
"We were painted as ridiculous before," says AOCD representative Jan Van Wesemael. "But these new incidents show that we were right and that the environment is dangerous. I hope that officials will use that shuttle bus as much as possible."
SCEPTR journalist Tom Lallemand recently posted a video of the park and its inhabitants on social media, writing, "Hundreds of illegal immigrants sleep or wander around in Maximilian Park Brussels, harrowing."

non-profit organisations.

The park happens to be situated close to the Office for Foreigners, where asylum seekers have to report

Later, local volunteers began to organise camping materials and food for the residents.
Those organisations have now been recognised by the city of Ghent.

“The impressive level of solidarity shown by thousands of citizens is an important response to the failure
of the asylum policy of the federal government,” the jury said.
The award has been given since 1992. It was given out on Saturday in Ghent.

At the same time, a prize named for the late moral philosopher Jaap Kruithof, awarded to a radical thinker
or organisation in the field of social movements, was awarded to Jan De Maeseneer, professor of general
practice at the university of Ghent, for his work on social medicine...'

Two Afghan men are alleged to have held down and raped a 15-year-old girl in the state of Brandenburg last Tuesday.
Police arrested one man on Friday evening but are still searching for his accomplice, reportedly a refugee who entered [url=https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/germany/index.html]Germany as an unaccompanied minor.
A 21-year-old man identified only as Mohammad F. and an acquaintance, 18, are said to have followed the victim and dragged her into the public toilet at a playground in Königs Wusterhausen, a few kilometers outside Berlin.
There, Mohammad F. is accused of raping the girl while his accomplice pinned her down.

The alleged rape took place last Tuesday in Königs Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, just a few kilometres outside Berlin (pictured)
According to the police, the teenager came to the police station to report the crime on Thursday afternoon, two days after it took place.
The victim was said to have been so traumatized that the questioning had to be stopped and resumed the following day.
In the second interrogation, the girl told police the name of the main offender.

On Friday night, investigators arrested Mohammad F. and he has since remained in custody.
According to the German news outlet BILD, the accomplice is an 18-year-old friend of the suspect.
He is said to be an Afghan who came to Germany as an unaccompanied minor refugee, but is already known to the police for assault charges.

The two men are said to have followed the victim into a public toilet, where she was raped by Mohammed F. and his accomplice pinned her down
According to the head of the refugee centre where the teenager is housed, the 18-year-old is currently on 'holiday' in another state.
Responding to the question of why the public was not told of the incident, a police spokesman said to BILD: 'At the time (Friday), it would have made no sense to issue a press release because we could not have named the offender.'
However, the newspaper quoted an anonymous police source as saying: 'The incident was kept under lock and key by the city and police, because they fear another reaction like what happened in Freiburg.'
The source was referring to an incident in the south-western city of Freiburg last month, in which an 18-year-old girl was gang raped in an attack allegedly orchestrated by a 22-year-old Syrian man.
The suspect, known as Majd H., is said to have targeted the girl after drugging her in a nightclub on October 14 and enlisting several other men to partake in the brutal four-hour assault.
Majd H. had been a suspect in two prior sex crimes and was known to police. BILD reported that at the time of the incident, there was already a warrant out for his arrest.
Last month's incident sent shockwaves through Germany, particularly after it was reported in local newspapers that Majd H., who came to the country in 2014, had links to a Kurdish militia and had posted pictures of himself posing with a machine gun on social media.

Let them go... they don't know any better.

It's not their fault it is ours. They're a proud people who are under tremendous
pressure and fear for their very lives. They only rape to feed their fleeing families
and taking advantage is the act of a decent voting human.

Maybe Angela can help these confused and frightened men? I'm sure the fifteen
year-old white girl led them on with her evil western ways and what better way to
utilise a decadent room like a toilet -than to take the innocence from someone who
will never understand a female's place in society.

Surely more money should be given to them, at least?

Another one. When Angela and her son Macron welcomed Turkish migrants in with open arms, maybe they should have
told the them that rape isn't inherent and they don't have to perform such acts like their ancestors from the Armenian
genocide did.

Luckily, The Daily Mail acquiesced to the court rulings and didn't reveal the criminal's name.
Instead, they just produced two images of him and made sure nobody back in Turkey will know who he is.
What was Tommy Robinson locked-up for again?!!

'A Turkish rapist who attacked a 16-year-old girl will be deported from Germany after a judge said his expulsion

The defendant, named in Germany only as Ali B., raped the teenager -also of Turkish origin -in Worms, a city in
Rhineland-Palatinate state. A judge has now said the 26-year-old must leave Germany 'to discourage foreigners
from a culture of sexual inequality from committing sex crimes'.
The expulsion was announced by 64-year-old judge Dagmar Wünsch at a court in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Ali B. had been in Germany for 19 years, according to the German tabloid Bild.
Judge Wünsch is said to have emphasised the 'general preventive aspects' of the ruling in order to deter such
crimes in the future.

In 2016, it was reported that Germany had toughened its rape laws in the wake of a series of sex attacks carried
out in Cologne on New Year's Eve. The German parliament passed legislation broadening the definition of sex
crimes and making it easier to deport foreign nationals who commit them.
It followed years of debate on the need for tougher treatment of rape by the country's criminal justice system...'

King Macron wants more money for his Elite friends and surprisingly, the French peasants
aren't buying into his demands. Now where's that guillotine?
.............................

With Paris being supposedly closed down due to the riots over a ridiculous fuel-tax rise, I was waiting for my
sister-in-law -a French resident, to give me the skinny on what is really going on. Her son is a Policeman there.

The mainstream media portray the protestors as all the same because of them all wearing a yellow high-visibility
jacket. But that is misleading.

Here's what Sky News is reporting.

Quote:Fire and tear gas in Paris as 'yellow vest' protests turn violent.

President Macron vows to hold troublemakers to account after riot police face off against
thousands of yellow-vested protesters.

'Tear gas, stun grenades and water cannon have been fired in central Paris as protests over
fuel price hikes and the cost of living turned violent. Police said at least 224 people were
arrested in the French capital and 92 injured -including some officers.

The area around the Champs Elysee and the Arc de Triomphe was a key flashpoint.
Roads leading to the famous monument were closed and some protesters hurled rocks,
set vehicles and rubbish bins on fire and put up barricades.

Some people scaled the arch, and at one point several hundred people sat underneath shouting
"Macron Resign!"
At least 19 Metro stations were also shut, reported France's BFM TV, and stores including the
famous Galeries Lafayette closed as a precaution.

President Macron later said there were 5,500 protesters in the capital and about 75,000 in total
around the country. Police said protesters stole an assault rifle from a police vehicle in Paris, Reuters
news agency reported on Saturday evening -but that has so far not been confirmed.

French TV showed young men wearing scarves and gas masks as some carried a banner reading:
"The people are desperate, Kill the bourgeois."

There are fears that far-left and far-right groups may have infiltrated the protests and fuelled the violence.

Demonstrators wore yellow vests - "gilets jaunes" - of the kind French people are obliged to carry in their
cars -and said President Macron was paying the price for refusing to budge on a green tax on diesel -
which has increased prices for millions of drivers...'

French drivers are NOT 'obliged' to carry the yellow jackets in their vehicle... They have to.

Quote:'...Since last October, it is now mandatory in France to carry a gilet jaune in the vehicle.
Only one vest need be carried, provided it is accessible from within the car...'

'...Dozens of unsuspecting drivers from the UK arriving in France were also stopped, and told to produce
their vest, which many were unable to do. The fine for not carrying a vest is €135 ($152.79), but the evidence
suggests that most drivers have been getting away with warnings rather than a fine...'
SOURCE:

Back at the Sky article.

Quote:'...The protests -which began two weeks ago -have widened from covering the general discontent many people
have with Mr Macron, who they accuse of being out of touch with working-class people.

Mr Macron said those involved in the violence would be "held responsible for their acts" and that the disorder
had "nothing to do with the peaceful expression of a legitimate anger".

"No cause justifies that security forces are attacked, shops pillaged, public or private buildings set on fire,
pedestrians or journalists threatened or that the Arc de Triomphe is sullied," Mr Macron told a news
conference at the G20 in Buenos Aires.
He said he would meet with ministers when he returns to Paris to discuss how to respond.

Christophe Castaner, the country's interior minister, called the scenes in Paris "intolerable".
"The clear will to attack our police forces, our country's symbols, is an insult to the Republic," he tweeted.
The clashes in the capital contrasted with demonstrations in other French regions, where demonstrations
and road blockades were largely peaceful...'
SKY News:

The out-of-Paris demonstrations were peacful because the protesters are different ones from the ones
in the images. I doubt the mainstream media will tell us who they really are.

But there'll be more.

(AP Photo/Kamil Zihnioglu)

PARIS (AP) -- France's most violent urban riot in more than a decade engulfed some of central Paris on Saturday as "yellow jacket" activists torched cars, smashed windows, looted stores and tagged the Arc de Triomphe with multi-colored graffiti.
Protesters angry about rising taxes and the high cost of living clashed with French riot police, who closed off some of the city's most popular tourist areas and fired tear gas and water cannon as they tried to quell the mayhem in the streets. At least 110 people were injured.

French President Emmanuel Macron denounced the violence from the G-20 summit in Argentina, saying those who attacked police and vandalized the Arc de Triomphe will be "held responsible for their acts." He said he will hold an emergency government meeting Sunday on the protests.

"(Violence) has nothing to do with the peaceful expression of a legitimate anger" and "no cause justifies" attacks on police or pillaging stores and burning buildings, Macron said in Buenos Aires. He refused to answer any questions from journalists about the situation in Paris.

It was the third straight weekend of clashes in Paris involving activists dressed in the fluorescent yellow vests of a new protest movement and the worst urban violence since at least 2005. The scene contrasted sharply with other protests in France, where demonstrations and road blockades elsewhere were largely peaceful Saturday.

Just like most of the media today, it's difficult to see what the truth is behind the preferred narrative.
We're currently in a world where many of those in power -true power, demand that we're segregated
and divided on opinions.

There's no room for two opposing views to be correct at the same time or rational logic to be offered in
defence of a situation. The conduits of information won't allow it because of their need to keep their
fiscal heads above water and also, it suits certain well-funded agendas that the media enjoy.

As said before, this isn't about gender or race, it's about class.
Those who're causing the damage in France are an ideal example of how the bourgeoisie-class,
the ones who believe they are the 'average', believe they hold a privileged position and for some
reason, feel guilty about it.

If you succeed in life, then well done. If you screw up your life, then pull up your socks and get a
grip. You can help the poor if you want, but there's no need to feel bad about the poverty around
you. Self-accountability is a harsh reality.

To cleanse themselves of this assumed guilt, the young of the middle-class seem to have decided
that making everything free and yet, everything constrained to their viewpoint is a noble quest.

Destroying private property -because it brings an odd sense of noble release, is seen by the masked
larpers as okay and is a strike against the unseen Elite that they believe spit on the down-trodden.
(Even though privately, they also believe they're a small part of that 'upper' class.)

They're all Robin Hood and pretend to see the reality of the world through a movie lens. They feel
better when they return to the home their parents worked hard for, knowing that they will never
freeze in the winter or sweat in the summer. Ma and Pa Normal -somehow, will always keep the
central-heating and the air-conditioning working with some strange magic.

The rioting young have been taught to not count themselves lucky and to press on in making the world
a better place for all, they've been conned into feeling bad about their lifestyle and have transformed
that guilt into anger for the sake of those they believe are 'lesser' than themselves.

"Let them eat cake" comes to mind.

The BBC reported the Paris riots, but it's only in the commentary below the article that an indication
of who is really destroying the famous capital of romance.

Quote:The great unwashed
By Hugh Schofield, Paris

'It is quite clear there were agitators or "casseurs" at the sharp end of the clashes with police.
We saw groups of people both from the anarchist far left and from the nationalist far right.
They were tooled up and ready for a fight.

The vast majority of "gilets jaunes" (yellow vests) who came to Paris to protest were not in that
category. There were many who were happy to look on, jeering police and providing moral
encouragement to the front lines.

And then there were the crowds who hung back - genuinely wanting nothing to do with the trouble.
Inevitably even these people agreed it was the police who had started it all, by wanton use of tear
gas.

The Health Minister said the protests had been taken over by "extremist groups"

The numbers were small, just a few thousand. But across the country the cause is extremely popular.
They say -quite proudly -that they are the "sans-dents", the great unwashed, the forgotten majority
from the sticks. And they've had enough...'

Quote:'...Earlier this week, Mr Macron tried to strike a conciliatory tone, saying he was open to ideas about
how the fuel tax could be applied. But his speech does not appear to have gone far enough in assuaging
people of the view that he is out of touch with ordinary people...'

Quote:'...One building was set on fire on a major avenue near the Arc de Triomphe and protesters stole an
assault rifle from a police vehicle in the centre of the city. Department stores and metro stations were
closed as a result of the violence. But protesters insisted the movement was peaceful.

"It's a mess because we don't have a leader," Dan Lodi, 68, told AFP.
"You always have some idiots who come to fight, but they don't represent us at all," he said.
Among the peaceful demonstrators, who held up slogans such as "Macron, stop treating us like idiots",
there were those hiding their faces with masks and goggles...'

It appears snipers on rooftops are shooting protesters.  Watch this short clip from Twitter.  It's the first post, so even if you don't have an account, you should be able to see it, ( but not the following posts in the thread).

Re my sister-in-law's telephone call from France.

She said that this fuel-tax hike is the twenty-sixth tax that Macron has increased since
Angela Merkel let him play in that yard. Macron has just arrived back from Argentina and
looked well-tanned, he personally surveyed the riot sights whilst smiling at the cameras.

My nephew -the French Policeman, works the night-shift and said that the protest areas
are quiet when he's on patrol and the dark hours are used to clean the mess up.

Remember, the ones genuinely protesting about fuel-tax rises don't know how to rig a
vehicle to explode, that's the work of the agitators and since they're mainly youngsters,
night-time is bedtime when faux-anger can rest!

The funny-part is that majority of the protesters have been seen on French television shouting...
"LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP!"

Now where did they get that rally-cry from?!

The far left would be surprised to see just how many people in other countries love President Trump and how he is putting our country's citizens first.
I see people from all over the world posting on Twitter supporting his agendas.  They say they wish they had such a leader in their country.  I hope someday they will, and that they too can be freed from the chains of what is quickly becoming a dictator-run country controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood.

I meant to add that Macron came up with an idea (probably the EU Commission told him to) that if any
French citizen purchased an electric car, the French Government would give them 4000 euros ($4527.01)
towards buying it.

One of these vehicles was given to a Journalist for his family to use on a holiday and they had to take their
own car because there was not enough luggage space. The Journalist's wife drove their own car and got to
their destination in half the time.

These Government idiots believe everyone lives in a city.

You won't see those Political Scum driving an all Electric Vehicle for Personal Use every day.

That Asshole Obama promised the makers of the Chevy Volt (all electric) in 2009 (i think it was) he buy one as he sat in it for a photo-op after saving GM (General Motors) with Taxpayer Monies after he won the Presidency.

Of-Course he Lied, he never even drove the vehicle.

Quote:Macron visits Arc de Triomphe after riots tear parts of Paris apart

More than 400 people are arrested in Paris as 133 people, including 23 police officers,
are injured during fuel tax riots.

'France's president has visited the graffiti-damaged Arc de Triomphe after hundreds of people
were arrested during the country's worst riots in 50 years.

Police in Paris said 23 officers were among 133 people who have been injured since violence
flared on Saturday afternoon, tearing parts of the capital apart...'

My nephew policeman told me that a 'legitimate protester' was crushed by barriers and another
lost a hand in the riots.

Quote:'...Out of the 412 arrested, 378 are in police custody, while the interior minister Christophe Castaner
aid about 3,000 people were suspected of having taken part in the Paris violence which marks the
worst unrest the capital has seen since 1968.

Across France, 75,000 people were estimated to have engaged in protests on Saturday, marking
the third weekend in a row of protests. One person died on Sunday morning near Arles, in the south
of France, after an accident at a roadblock created by protesters, the local prosecutor said.

Activists dressed in hi-vis jackets torched cars, smashed windows, looted stores and vandalised the
Arc de Triomphe as thousands took part in a protest against rising fuel taxes and President Emmanuel
Macron's liberal economic reforms.

Benjamin Griveaux, a government spokesman, on Sunday morning said France would consider
imposing a state of emergency to prevent further unrest, and is urging peaceful protesters to get
around the negotiating table.

He told Europe 1 radio: "It is out of the question that each weekend becomes a meeting or ritual for
violence." A government spokesman said it is open to dialogue but will not change course.
However, a French government source said during an emergency meeting on Sunday afternoon Mr
Macron did not discuss imposing a state of emergency, Reuters news agency reported.

They said the ministers instead spoke about adapting security forces for future protests.
Hours before, Mr Macron headed straight to the Arc de Triomphe, where city employees had scrubbed
off some of the graffiti, from the airport where he arrived after the Buenos Aires G20 summit.

He was booed by passers-by as he visited the scene of Saturday's violence.

The National Police Alliance had called for a state of emergency, with the deputy national secretary Loic
Travers accusing Paris police of failing to filter out "people with bad intentions" before they came to the
protests.

Protesters have been wearing the yellow vests which French drivers must carry, prompting the
demonstrations to be called Gilets Jaunes - yellow vests...'

Remember that earlier, Sky News used the word 'obliged' in regards of having a high-viz vest in your
vehicle. See...? mainstream news can say things without researching!

Quote:'...The protests erupted out of nowhere on 17 November in reaction to rising fuel taxes, with social
media playing a key role in enabling hundreds of people to quickly gather in cities across France.

They quickly escalated as the protests began to also represent a growing dissatisfaction with
diminishing living conditions due to other increasing taxes.

Politicians blamed far-left and far-right supporters of infiltrating the protests and turning them violent.
The union of restaurateurs and caterers said the effect on the trade was "catastrophic", saying 50% of
tourists in Paris had cancelled their reservations or left the country early, with more and more cancelling
elsewhere in France...'

Far-Left and Far-Right...the same!

Quote:'...Groups of masked young men, some carrying metal bars and axes, were seen running through the streets.
Cars were set alight and firefighters were seen putting out large fires inside buildings near the Arc de Triomphe
as protesters filmed with their phones.

French journalist Hugo Clement was hit in the head by a projectile in Paris as he rode his scooter to a bar on
Saturday. His partner, Alexandra Rosenfeld, tweeted a picture of his face after his helmet visor was hit and
shattered, then his phone was stolen after it fell to the ground.

She said he was not working at the time and protesters quickly treated him before he was taken to hospital
and given seven stitches. The violence prompted 19 Paris Metro stations to shut down while department stores,
including the famous Galeries Lafayettes, closed early.

Benjamin Cauchy, a spokesman for Free Yellow Vests, said on Sunday that he wants a "constructive dialogue"
with the government. The protests were not contained to Paris, with yellow vest-clad protesters taking to streets
across France.

They blocked off access to a terminal at Nice airport, Marseille experienced large crowds, more than 1,000 people
were on Saint-Etienne's streets in the Loire Valley, and seven people were injured during clashes in Bordeaux -with
one losing several fingers after a pyrotechnic device exploded...'

Aaah, there it is. The guy lost fingers, but it could've been a hand. See how people see things differently, huh?

Quote:'...A total of 65,000 security forces were on duty across France, with Mr Castaner saying anybody breaking the
law "will be very strongly sanctioned". Speaking at the G20 on Saturday evening Mr Macron said: "I will never
accept violence. "No cause justifies that authorities are attacked, that businesses are plundered, that passers-by
or journalists are threatened or that the Arc de Triomphe is defiled."...'
SKY News:

A surprising comment from The Guardian.
Quote:'..When the French president, Emmanuel Macron, surveyed the damage at the Arc de Triomphe after
the worst violence in central Paris for over a decade, street-cleaners had tried to diligently scrub away
graffiti saying: “Macron resign.”

They needn’t have bothered because a small crowd gathered to shout it at Macron anyway...'
