Trump Recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s
#1
Quote:Trump Recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital and Orders U.S. Embassy to Move
GOOD, it's about Damn Time, A POTUS Showed he had a Pair Of Balls.
Quote:WASHINGTON — President Trump on Wednesday formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, reversing nearly seven decades of American foreign policy and setting in motion a plan to move the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to the fiercely contested Holy City.

“Today we finally acknowledge the obvious: that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital,” Mr. Trump said from the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House. “This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality. It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done.”

Other POTUS had promise to, and didn't have the Guts to face the Muslims with their Threats and tell them to Shut Up and Lay Down.

Quote:The Muslim world has reacted with fury tonight after Donald Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel despite an international outcry.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was among leaders to immediately denounce the announcement as he accused the US of 'withdrawing' from the peace process.
Furious protests are raging in Turkey, Gaza while French President Emmanuel Macron also slammed President Trump following his historic intervention.

Fuck a bunch of whiny-asses Muslims. You're right, they have no intention of working for peace, unless it's "peace" on their terms - meaning complete capitulation of everything not-Muslim. What's really going on here is they see what ill-gotten ground they've gained in "peace" talks slipping away, and they are squalling like a bunch of whiny, petulant bitches.

Fuck 'em all.

... and for the man ballsy enough to announce their day is done and dare 'em to come at him:

Here in Europe our leaders are wimps, but the people seem to have had enough of muslims raping and yapping about everything, always wanting more but never giving anything back.
Islam will have to change if it wants to survive, yes there is a lot of them, but the IQ level is very low because of inbreeding and the oppression of free though in Islam.
The fact that Islams responce to everything that does not suit them is kill kill has only pushing the war closer. I think the only people worried about what has happened are our leader becouse they fear losing all the money the ME country's are paying them.

They'll never change as long as the current leaders are running things,,,,, They are afraid to stand up to a Religion that is nothing more than a way of life for MEN to be DOMINANT over women.
That is so very sad.

Should Trump have kicked the can further down the road for the next guy to deal with...?
It worked for Clinton, Bush and Obama.

Quote:Trump's Jerusalem move: US warns against scrapping Abbas talks.

'The US has warned Palestinians against cancelling talks with Vice-President Mike Pence, after Washington recognised
Jerusalem as Israel's capital. A senior Palestinian official earlier said Mr Pence would not be welcome.

It would be "counterproductive" to scrap talks between Mr Pence and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas planned
later this month, the US said. President Donald Trump's announcement on Jerusalem this week reversed decades of
US policy on Jerusalem's status.

On Thursday, at least 31 Palestinians were wounded in clashes in the Gaza Strip and across the occupied West Bank.
The clashes were triggered by Mr Trump's policy shift. More protests are expected in Palestinian territories on Friday,
with Israel deploying hundreds of extra troops in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has already called for a new intifada, or uprising.

Jibril Rajoub, a senior official in Mr Abbas' Fatah party, said on Thursday Mr Pence was "not welcome" in the Palestinian
territories and that the meeting would not take place. A White House official responded by saying Mr Pence "still intends
to meet Mr Abbas and Palestinian leaders and thinks any decision to pull out of the meeting would be counterproductive".

During his visit - scheduled for the second half of December - Mr Pence will also travel to Israel and Egypt.
Mr Abbas has not personally commented on the issue.

Mr Trump announced the move on Wednesday. The US president said: "I've judged this course of action to be in the best
interests of the United States of America and the pursuit of peace between Israel and the Palestinians."
He said he was directing the US state department to begin preparations to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Despite warnings of regional unrest over any such move, the decision fulfils a campaign promise and appeals to Mr Trump's
right-wing base.

Recognising Jerusalem as Israel's capital was "nothing more or less than a recognition of reality", he added. "It is also the
right thing to do." Mr Trump said the US would support a two-state solution - shorthand for a final settlement that would see
the creation of an independent Palestinian state within pre-1967 ceasefire lines in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East
Jerusalem, living peacefully alongside Israel - "if agreed to by both sides".
The Palestinians want East Jerusalem to be the capital of any future Palestinian state.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was profoundly grateful to Mr Trump, who had "bound himself forever
with the history of the capital". He also said Israel was "in touch with other countries to follow suit".
He did not name any of these countries, although the Philippines and the Czech Republic have been mentioned in Israeli media.
The mood has been very different on the Palestinian side.

The leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniya, which dominates the Gaza Strip, has called for a "day of rage" on Friday and said it
should "be the first day of the intifada against the occupier".

Meanwhile, the Fatah party is filing a complaint to the UN Security Council and pushing for a strong stance by the Arab League.
"We are going to declare the United States disqualified as co-sponsor of any peace process or political process," spokesman
Dr Nasser Al-Kidwa said. "In our mind, it has lost its ability to do or perform any efforts in this regard."

There has also been widespread condemnation across the Arab and wider Muslim world, with Turkey's President Recep
Tayyip Erdogan warning Mr Trump that he was "throwing the region into a ring of fire".
Many of Washington's closest allies have said they disagree with the US announcement.

Both the UN Security Council and the Arab League will meet in the coming days to decide their response.

Jerusalem is of huge importance to both Israel and the Palestinians. It contains sites sacred to the three major monotheistic faiths
-Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem has never been recognised internationally, and all countries
maintain their embassies in Tel Aviv.

East Jerusalem, which includes the Old City, was annexed by Israel after the Six Day War of 1967, but before now it has not been
internationally recognised as part of Israel. According to the 1993 Israel-Palestinian peace accords, the final status of Jerusalem
is meant to be discussed in the latter stages of peace talks...'

Yesterdays Prophecies / today's headlines

Amos ( 750 BC ) says the following in this regards:

"I ( God ) will bring my exiled people of Israel back from distant lands .. and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again ..
They will plant vineyards and gardens .. they will eat their crops and drink their wine .. I will firmly plant them there in their own land ..
They will never again be uprooted from the land I have given them" .. says the Lord your God . . . . Amos 9:14-15

-----------------------

Zechariah ( 520-470 BC ) says the following in this regards:

"I ( God ) am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling
Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her,
I (God) will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves" . . . Zechariah 12

Interesting videos, the second it the best I Think.
BUT,,,,, as far as moving our Embassy and Officially Recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel by the United States is Long Over Due. (JMHO)  minusculebeercheers
Other POTUS have promised to do this,,,, But only One President has taken the step to keep a Promise.

Quote:Former President Bill Clinton made Jerusalem a campaign issue in 1992, attacking then-former President George H.W. Bush for having allegedly “repeatedly challenged Israel’s sovereignty over a united Jerusalem” and vowing to move the embassy during his administration.

Clinton, however, believed moving the embassy and recognizing the capital may derail his many attempts at brokering a peace deal between Israelis and Palestinians.

The cycle appeared to repeat itself once again during the 2000 U.S. presidential election when former President George W. Bush castigated Clinton for failing to follow through on his embassy promise and vowing to get the process started in his few months in office.

Bush never made a concerted effort towards moving the embassy and became embroiled his own Middle East conflicts.

Former President Barack Obama himself never attacked Bush or Clinton for not moving the embassy to Jerusalem but declared in a 2008 campaign speech, “Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”

Does anyone else remember this article?
Quote:Russia recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital

BY NIKITA VLADIMIROV - 04/06/17 04:05 PM EDT
I guess the MSM forgot about it.
Quote:In the statement, Moscow reaffirmed its "support for the two-state solution" while acknowledging that East Jerusalem should be the capital of the future Palestinian state.

"We reaffirm our commitment to the UN-approved principles for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement, which include the status of East Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state," the ministry said.

"At the same time, we must state that in this context we view West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel."

Moscow's announcement comes as the new U.S. administration is considering moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, thereby recognizing the city as Israel's capital.

Israel declared Jerusalem its capital in 1950, but Russia is the first nation to recognize it as such, according to The Jerusalem Post.

From Grace's source above:

Quote:The bill was not signed into law by then-President  Bill Clinton. Clinton had made an early effort to craft a new peace agreement in the Middle East, forging the Oslo accords between Israel and Palestinians, signed in 1993 and September 1995. (Rabin’s support for the accords was apparently one of the things that motivated his assassin.) The Embassy Act, Clinton said in a statement, “could hinder the peace process. I will not let this happen and will use the legislation’s waiver authority to avoid damage to the peace process.”

That waiver authority was a critical escape valve for Clinton and his successors. Initially, the legislation introduced by then-Kansas senator Bob Dole ® mandated that groundbreaking on a new embassy in Jerusalem begin in 1996. To quell concerns from Clinton allies on the Hill, Dole added a provision that allowed the president to postpone implementation of the move for six months if “such suspension is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States.”

The bill became law after Clinton declined to sign it for a 10-day period while Congress was in session. He, George W. Bush and Barack Obama all postponed the embassy move every six months for each of the 22 years since the law was enacted.

Passing the law allowed Congress to demonstrate commitment to the issue while not forcing the president to act on it. It also meant that, for those interested in doing so, the issue was kept alive as a political issue.

Over the course of his time in politics, Donald Trump has been interested in doing so.

Trump finally did it.    minusculethumbsup2
