Another Mass Shooting - This time at Church
#1
I can't get around to posting a political thread today, sorry. I was working on more sources for my "Make America Great Again" thread but I don't feel like playing politics today.

Yet ANOTHER shooting, this time at least 2 dozen dead, another 2 dozen injured. Not much news coming out as to motive (and if Vegas showed us anything, that's a rabbit hole these days) but here's what they know:

Quote:Texas Congressman Vicente Gonzalez said on MSNBC he had received reports that "24 people are now deceased from this incident and 20 people are injured. We won’t have final numbers until probably a few more hours."

Quote:A gunman opened fire inside a rural Texas church on Sunday, killing about 25 people and injuring at least another 10, officials said.

"Approximately 25 people" were deceased, including the gunman, following the shooting at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackett told NBC News.

NBC

I'll post some more shortly. I have 2 sites up with conflicting information so i'm going to try and grab them both (in case information starts to disappear later...)

From CNN

Quote:The shooter was killed after a brief chase north into neighboring Guadalupe County, according to Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Robert Murphy. It is unclear if the shooter was killed by police or took his own life, Murphy said.

The FBI is responding to the scene of the shooting, according to Michelle Lee, spokeswoman for the FBI's San Antonio field office.
Local police also have responded to the scene, which occurred at the First Baptist Church, a witness told CNN. The witness, a cashier at a gas station across the street from the church, said she heard about 20 shots being fired in quick succession while a church service was underway around 11:30 a.m. local time

So unless he left a note or a trail of suspicion - yet another case of "we may never know".

Other places are reporting that there are children among the victims.

Quote:Amanda Mosel's 13-year-old goddaughter was gunned down in the shooting. With tears in her eyes, the 34-year-old stood outside the Sutherland Springs Community Building where citizens gathered following the shooting.

"From what I've heard, someone just walked in and started shooting," she said.
Mosel said she "sadly" didn't attend church this morning, but the church is one she's attended.
"There's maybe 50 of us," she said. "It's a small, tight-knit church."
Devy Collins, 53, said one of the church pastor's children was killed.

Quote:Sutherland Springs is a small town with just a few hundred residents, which lies about 50km (30 miles) southeast of the city of San Antonio.

The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.
The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.

There are names floating out there ID'ing the deceased suspect. Will do more digging to see if it's confirmed anywhere else (removed video because it's sketchy...)

Shooter has been ID'd

Quote:Devin Patrick Kelley has been identified as the gunman who killed at least 24 people at a church in Texas, a U.S. official tells The Daily Beast. Kelley, 26, was a resident of New Braunfels, a suburb of San Antonio, according to public records. On a now-deleted Facebook account, Kelley displayed an assault rifle.

It's hard for me to wrap my mind around such evil.   tinycrying

They say things are only going to get worse.  I can't imagine how.

I agree. And the FRUSTRATING part is the lack of a fix. I have no idea how to prevent this, none whatsoever. We know for a fact that gun control won't fix it (especially with the amount of weaponry already on the streets) I guess the only thing that may help is to study the mental conditions that lead to a SNAP?

It's been a touchy point for years now that the CDC can't even study gun violence. I for one think that's a bunch of Bullshit. I think 2 things would happen if they could study it:

1 - They would find out that gun control wouldn't be the Fix to everything

and

2 - Maybe they would see a trend that could allow us to identify problem areas BEFORE they caused somebody to go Postal. Even if it doesn't fix everything wouldn't it be nice if we could cut down on 10% of these? 20%? Something? Hell, it's better than nothing.

Watching the press conference now, they are saying that a resident grabbed his rifle and stopped the shooting. He was wearing a bullet proof vest but the "resident" shot him, caused the suspect to drop his rifle, and he fled the scene.

Good guy with a gun very well could have prevented this from topping Vegas as the worst mass shooting in history... For what it's worth at this point  tinycrying

More on the shooting...

Quote:Texas church shooting: At least 26 worshippers dead in Sutherland Springs massacre.

'At least 26 people have been killed after a gunman opened fire with an assault rifle at a church
in Texas, with the youngest victim just five years old.

The lone suspect, who was wearing black tactical gear and a ballistic vest, targeted the First Baptist
Church in Sutherland Springs, 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.

Devin Kelley - who served in the US Air Force before being thrown out - struck while worshippers
gathered for a Sunday service. Witnesses reported hearing around 20 shots as the massacre unfolded,
the worst in Texas history.

Devin Kelley.

The victims range in age from five to 72 and include Annabelle Pomeroy, the 14-year-old daughter of
the church's pastor, who is out of town with his wife. Twenty others were injured in the attack; including a
six-year-old boy named Rylan who was in surgery after being shot four times, his uncle told CBS News.

Annabelle Pomeroy.

After the shooting Kelley, 26, had a gunfight with a neighbour before escaping in his car.
He was later found dead in another county with several weapons in his vehicle.

Johnnie Langendorff.

Johnnie Langendorff said he helped the neighbour chase the suspect.
"His vehicle was parked, door open, engine running... him and the neighbour across the street (were)
exchanging fire... "We hit about 95(mph) going down 539 trying to catch this guy until he eventually lost
control on his own and went off in a ditch.
"The gentleman with me got out, rested his rifle on my hood and aimed at him, telling him to 'get out, get out'.

"There was no movement, the guy didn't put up a fight or anything."
It is not clear if he killed himself or was hit by gunfire, authorities said...'

This isn't being done by people going postal, in my opinion.  It's being carried out by Deep State agents to cause fear in the public and make them more agreeable to give up their guns.  They are desperate now and things will get really bad as they play their last hand in trying to bring in the NWO.

We must NOT allow them to take our guns!  That would be the final nail in our coffin.

I said above that I think this was a 'Deep State' agent, and I still do because of how he was dressed in black, tactical gear and carrying a military style assault rifle. Maybe I should reword that: I think 'they' used him; he was triggered... however they do that, and he went and carried out the attack.

It could be that he just "lost it", as the MSM wants people to believe, but it ties in too well with all the other shootings/attacks for me to believe that's all there was to it.  And also, things I've read about how "they" are running scared and ramping things up to avoid a fall.
The Deep State is crumbling, from what I hear.  Things are going to get worse before they get better.

Here is an article with people that knew him telling what type of person he was.  He does seem a little "off"; just the right type the Elite would pick to carry out such a plan, then they could blame it on him "being crazy".

This is from a site that isn't credible. I'm only posting it to bring it to the attention of the public and ask...

Is Antifa trying to take credit for something they didn't do?  Can anyone validate he was a member of this terrorist group?

Quote:The gunman who opened fire inside a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, has been identified as Devin Kelley, an Antifa member who vowed to start a civil war by “targeting white conservative churches” and causing anarchy in the United States.

Texas Church Shooter Was Antifa Member Who Vowed To Start Civil War

Sounds like they are trying to scare the Christians.  A bunch of propaganda hype, if you ask me.

Sorry, but I think he snapped. Discharged from the military, they fucked up their paperwork and that allowed him to buy a gun legally, and he snapped. Pin this on some imaginary group all you want but that doesn't help anything.

Also, not everything is a liberal plot to steal guns. It's getting pretty old actually. The only reason I don't own an armory is because a Republican back in the day decided mandatory minimum sentencing was a grand idea. He and his lot are the reason why .351 grams of pot exchanging hands is a felony (I lost betty that day, she was my .308) and I'm sick and God damn tired of this notion that liberals are out for your arms.

Fox news is calling me. I'm gonna tune in and come back to my rogue family tomorrow, brainwashed and ready to believe that the left is at fault for all  tinycool

Yes, from what I've learned since the shooting, he was a "follower" of Antifa, but probably not a member.

No everything is not a "plot" or planned, but they sure as hell take advantage of every chance to scream "we need more gun laws" every time a gun is used in a crime.

Case in point: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/11/0...h-gun.html

Why are we not hearing them scream to ban vehicles? They are being used to commit crimes too.
I'll tell you why:  It's because the Deep State, which includes the right and the left, wants to disarm the public so they can take control without us being able to defend ourselves.

As I said, the Deep State has members from both sides of the political parties.  So, as I see it, it's not just the left at fault; it's the Deep State Elite who pull the puppet strings from the top.

Okay, if MSM is to be trusted, then I admit I was wrong about this guy.  Still... something fishy about the timing with the other shootings.

Quote:Texas church shooting suspect and Air Force veteran Devin Kelley escaped from a New Mexico mental health hospital in 2012, according to an El Paso Police Department report, which also said he "was attempting to carry out death threats" that he "had made on his military chain of command."

A witness said Kelley "suffered from mental disorders and had plans to run from Peak Behavioral Health Services ... and take a bus out of state,” according to the report.

The report said Kelley had previously been caught sneaking firearms onto Hollaman Air Force Base where he served in New Mexico. The report also noted that Kelley was facing military criminal charges.

Kelley was located and did not resist or make any comments about harming himself or other officers, the report said, adding that he was released to Sunland Park police officers.

The Air Force official confirmed the details in the police report, including that Kelley was a danger to himself and others, faced military criminal charges, had been sneaking firearms onto Holloman Air Force Base and had made threats toward his chain of command. The official also confirmed the description from the person at the facility that Kelley "suffered from mental disorders."

Peak Behavioral Health said in a statement today, "We are deeply committed to providing the best patient care. We never discuss whether someone was or was not a patient at our hospital, and we never discuss any information about our patients. Preserving the confidentiality of this information is not only a matter of policy, it is federal and state law."

The facility added, "Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrible act and their families and friends, and like everyone else in Texas, we are doing everything we can to help the community in recovering and healing from this tragedy."

-- Kelley is accused of carrying out a mass shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, about 40 miles southeast of San Antonio, on Sunday, leaving 26 dead, according to police, who have included an unborn child in the death count. Twenty others were injured, 10 of the critically, authorities said.

-- There appears to have been "roughly just over 50" people at the church service, with "very few" of them uninjured, officials said.
-- It appears the rifle used in the attack was a semiautomatic weapon and there's no evidence a bump stock was used, authorities said today.
-- Kelley, 26, died after the attack.
