Nothing surprises me, especially coming from CNN.   tinysure

The image they showed of the Pope not smiling with Trump, was real.
As real as the one with the PM of Canada in the above post.

However, the image the MSM tried to project was how hated Trump was over there, therefore they did not show the others of a smiling Pope with Trump.

Oh no, can't have that. It would send out a positive message.
We have to make everyone think that the World hates Trump.

So much for being tolerant, eh?
Me thinks people need to go back and relearn what it means to be 'tolerant' of another's view/opinions without being so hateful towards them. Insulting them.
Or running off and pouting.

But then again, where would they go to relearn?

Colleges no longer accept views that disagree with theirs. It's a no-no
Professors are the instigators now of no longer accepting conservative views. Or any views really that disagree with theirs.

They have to have "safe places" with cookies and milk, videos of puppies so they do not feel threatened by outside views.
Oh horrors!!  tinyshocked

I have seen such childish behavior in cartoons and internet memes, but never such

CNN Fires Kathy Griffin Over Controversial Anti-Trump Photo Shoot

Kathy Griffin will no longer be spending New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper on CNN. The network has fired her over her anti-Donald Trump photo shoot. (Photo: Getty Images)

Quote:Kathy Griffin is paying the price for that controversial anti-Trump photo shoot. While the comedian apologized profusely for holding a mock severed “head” — resembling Donald Trump’s — during a photo shoot with provocative shutterbug Tyler Shields, she’s taking a hit where it hurts: her wallet.

CNN announced on Wednesday that it had “fired” the redheaded firecracker from her New Year’s Eve hosting gig, which she’s held for a decade, opposite Anderson Cooper. “CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year’s Eve program,” the network said in a statement.

Cooper had already tweeted that he was “appalled” by the photo, which saw Griffin holding a “head” that looked like the president’s, covered with blood.

While Griffin, 56, faced the music and apologized pretty much immediately following the publication of the photo, that wasn’t good enough for CNN or Trump himself, who called her “sick” in a tweet on Wednesday morning.

Trump also played the kid card, saying that his children were “having a hard time” with the photo, especially his 11-year-old son, Barron. (According to TMZ, the boy thought the head really was his dad’s. The story claims that he was “in front of the TV watching a show when the news came on and he saw the bloody image. We’re told that he panicked and screamed, ‘Mommy, Mommy!’” While that story sounds a bit much, we’re sure it was unpleasant for the family.)

Griffin has also lost an endorsement with Squatty Potty over the incident. Company CEO Bobby Edwards, whose product is a toilet footstool designed to allow for better bowel movements (can’t make this stuff up), said he was “shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared” and called it “deeply inappropriate” and “contrary to the core values our company stands for.” Griffin had recently been hired to appear in their ad campaign.

They already have, I read yesterday how Trump has started a War with Americans.
There are Democrat Mayors announcing they will still Abide and Follow the Paris Accord agreement and the Governor of California says the his state will follow the agreement.

Democrats in Washington were Whining that other countries have lost respect for us and that Trump was destroying the Earth.

President Barack Obama
Obama issued a statement saying he believes the U.S. should be at the "front of the pack," leading the remaining nations that will "reap the benefits."
"A year and a half ago, the world came together in Paris around the first-ever global agreement to set the world on a low-carbon course and protect the world we leave to our children," Obama said.
He expressed confidence in Americans to continue to lead the way to protect the environment.
"But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got," Obama said.

A historic mistake. The world is moving forward together on climate change. Paris withdrawal leaves American workers & families behind.
4:38 PM - 1 Jun 2017

Quote:Former Secretary of State John Kerry

Kerry wrote a Facebook post and called the move to withdraw from the Paris agreement a "big mistake" that "isolates the United States after we had united the world."
"The President who promised 'America First' has taken a self-destructive step that puts our nation last," Kerry said. "This is an unprecedented forfeiture of American leadership which will cost us influence, cost us jobs, and invite other countries to walk away from solving humanity’s most existential crisis."
Quote:Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer
"President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement is a devastating failure of historic proportions," said Schumer. "Future generations will look back on President Trump’s decision as one of the worst policy moves made in the 21st century because of the huge damage to our economy, our environment and our geopolitical standing. Pulling out of the Paris agreement doesn’t put America first, it puts America last in recognizing science, in being a world leader and protecting our own shore line, our economy and our planet. It’s now crystal clear President Trump is comfortable both ceding the moral high ground and the economic upper hand to countries like China, and endangering the future of our planet.

Former Vice President Al Gore

Gore called the decision an "indefensible action" that "undermines America’s standing in the world and threatens to damage humanity’s ability to solve the climate crisis in time."
"But make no mistake: if President Trump won’t lead, the American people will," Gore said. He called on "civic leaders, mayors, governors, CEOs, investors and the majority of the business community" to take up the challenge.
"We are in the middle of a clean energy revolution that no single person or group can stop," Gore said. "President Trump’s decision is profoundly in conflict with what the majority of Americans want from our president; but no matter what he does, we will ensure that our inevitable transition to a clean energy economy continues.
Quote:New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo
Cuomo called the decision "reckless," adding that it will have "devastating repercussions" for the planet.
"New York State is committed to meeting the standards set forth in the Paris Accord regardless of Washington's irresponsible actions," Cuomo said. "We will not ignore the science and reality of climate change, which is why I am also signing an Executive Order confirming New York's leadership role in protecting our citizens, our environment, and our planet."

More Democrat Obama Worshipers.
Quote:Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg
"Americans are not walking away from the Paris Climate Agreement. Just the opposite – we are forging ahead... As a sign of our commitment, Bloomberg Philanthropies, in partnership with others, will make up the approximately $15 million in funding that the U.N.’s Climate Secretariat stands to lose from Washington. Americans will honor and fulfill the Paris Agreement by leading from the bottom up – and there isn’t anything Washington can do to stop us.”

Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh
Walsh called the move to withdraw from the Paris agreement "irresponsible" and "a setback."
"This damages our nation's reputation as an international leader and puts future generations at risk to the threat of climate change," he said. "Boston will not standby given what's at stake."

As the Mayor of Pittsburgh, I can assure you that we will follow the guidelines of the Paris Agreement for our people, our economy & future. https://twitter.com/presssec/status/870367903337644032 …

California Gov. Jerry Brown
The governor of California said Trump has "chosen the wrong course."
"California will resist this misguided and insane course of action," said Brown. "Trump is AWOL but California is on the field, ready for battle."

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee
The governor of Washington said Trump's announcement will leave "full responsibility of climate action" to states and cities.
"While the president’s actions are a shameful rebuke to the work needed to protect our planet for our children and grandchildren, states have been and will continue to step up," said Inslee.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
The mayor of New York City also vowed to commit to the Paris climate agreement, saying New Yorkers are "already experiencing hotter summers, more powerful storms and rising seats, which disproportionately affect already vulnerable communities."
"President Trump can turn his back on the world, but the world cannot ignore the very real threat of climate change," de Blasio said. "This decision is an immoral assault on the public health, safety and security of everyone on this planet."

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker
"While the decision by the Trump-Pence Administration to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement is disappointing, the Commonwealth is committed to working with our partners around the nation and world to reduce carbon emissions," said Baker. "Despite today’s announcement, Massachusetts is aggressively working to exceed the goals of the Paris Agreement on the state level, while growing our economy through clean energy innovation and environmental stewardship. In Massachusetts and around the world, climate change is a shared reality and our ability to rise and respond to this challenge will shape future generations."

YOU MUST BE FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!!

Kathy Griffin Says She Feels Attacked by Trump, Blames Sexism.

'A defiant Kathy Griffin vowed Friday to continue making jokes about President Donald Trump,
and stressed that she believes she's been personally attacked by the president and the first
family.

Flanked by civil rights attorney Lisa Bloom, a tearful Griffin said she stands by her original
apology for the gruesome photo she shared on social media Tuesday.
But the comedian became defiant when speaking about the backlash she's faced, particularly
at the hands of the president and members of his family.

"What's happening to me has never happened, ever in the history of this great country, which
is that a sitting president of the United States and his grown children and the first lady are
personally, I feel, personally trying to ruin my life forever."

Bloom framed Griffin's stunt as a First Amendment performance piece and chided the president
for treating the incident as yet another high-profile celebrity feud.

"Trump does not realistically fear 56-year-old, 110-pound Kathy Griffin," she said. "Kathy Griffin
and Donald Trump are not equals; he is the president of the United States."

Griffin admits that her brand of shock-comedy does not meet everyone's taste, but she said
she believes backlash against her photo is rooted, in part, in sexism.
"Cut the crap, this wouldn't be happening to a guy — this is a woman thing," she said. "I'm not
afraid of Donald Trump. He's a bully. I've dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down
my whole life — my whole career."

Bloom backed Griffin's sexism charge, noting that male musician Marilyn Manson, and all-male
bands Municipal Waste and Gwar, have shared graphic images depicting the death of President
Trump — with relative impunity.

"They're all just considered bad boys," she said. "Unlike these male artists, Kathy apologized.
Unlike these male artists, Kathy has endured the most powerful man in America and his family
using their power to target her and her employers."...'

...Another Hollywood burn-out...

Jim Carrey comes to Kathy Griffin's defense: 'Hold up a severed leg as well'

'Actor speaks out about controversial photo, featuring the severed head of Donald Trump,
saying it’s the ‘job of a comedian to cross the line’

Jim Carrey has come to Kathy Griffin’s defense, speaking out against the backlash generated
by her widely derided photoshoot holding a facsimile of president Donald Trump’s severed
head.

Griffin posted a video on Twitter apologizing for the photo soon after, but on Wednesday, she
was fired from her job as co-host of CNN’s New Year’s Eve special. “I made a mistake and I
was wrong,” said the 56-year-old comedian.

At the premiere of I’m Dying Up Here, a new Showtime comedy he executive produced, Carrey told
Griffin to “hold up a severed leg as well”. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he elaborated,
explaining: “It is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times, because that line is not real.”

He continued: “We’re the last line of defense. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in
this whole thing.”

Trump directly addressed Griffin’s photo, shot by Tyler Shields, in a tweet on Wednesday that read:
“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron,
are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

In his interview, Carrey professed to having recently dreamed about playing golf with the president.
“I had a dream the other night I was playing golf with Donald Trump,” he said. “I was standing beside
him with a club in my hand, and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up.
It was one of those dreams where you just want to get back to sleep so you can finish it, you know?”...'

So, now Kathy Griffin has hired an attorney because she sees herself as the victim in all this.

Kathy Griffin's Brand New Attorney Already Has a Personal Axe to Grind Against the Trump Family

Quote:Comedian Kathy Griffin has had a rough week. After posing for a photoshoot featuring the “D-List” star holding a fake severed head that resembled President Trump, she faced wave after wave of backlash.

She lost her New Year's Eve gig on CNN. Several companies pulled her commercials. And even the president himself called her out:

Quote:Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 31, 2017

As Griffin hemorrhages advertisers, it's only natural that she would seek counsel to represent her in the possible upcoming legal battles. And Los Angeles-based Lisa Bloom, of the Bloom Firm, stepped up:

Quote:Proud to announce that I represent Kathy Griffin. We will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning. Here's the details. pic.twitter.com/1FejPNGzoV
— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) June 2, 2017

So who is Ms. Bloom? Independent Journal Review did a little digging, and it didn't take long to realize that Bloom was no fan of the current president — or any member of his family:

Quote:Only an ignorant psychopath willing to endanger his own grandchildren would pull out of #ParisAgreement. #Covfefehttps://t.co/r5bYcmRQRs

— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) May 30, 2017

Bloom has been particularly critical of First Lady Melania Trump, calling her a “silent clothes hanger”:

Quote:NYT has 3 articles today about Melania's clothes. A rich woman being a silent clothes hanger is not praiseworthy. https://t.co/wDo9pblLwa
— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) May 29, 2017

And the “First Ornament”:

Quote:Oh please. Wake me up when the First Ornament uses her office to do some good in the world. https://t.co/MqF423w5MZ
— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) May 29, 2017

Bloom made no mention of Melania Trump's visits to children's hospitals and with the mothers of military service-members.
Plus, she just really likes Kathy Griffin:

Just so we get this in a decent reality.

Kathy Griffin -an alleged responsible adult and occasional comedian living a lifestyle
that the majority of fellow citizens fail to enjoy, agrees to do a photo-shoot where she
is required to hold a fake severed head of a fellow human-being.

Some may call it 'shock' art and others may find it in poor taste considering the current
incidents in other lands involving -in one case, a twelve year-old boy and many other
reports of Journalists having their heads cut-off in the name of religious propaganda.

The effigy is of a male who is the President of her country and due to the laws of the land
allowing such liberal antics, Kathy Griffin and the photographer's actions are displayed
for reasons unknown.

An outcry from the public deems the photograph too-insensitive and the back-lash provided
through the multiple news outlets puts. Mrs. Griffin in a bad light and some commentators
state it is insulting to the position of the Presidency.

That same President's family use social media to condemn the display because apparently,
wives and children don't like seeing an image of their husband and father's severed head
that implies an obvious threat to his well-being. In some worlds, it's called distressing.

A 'sh*t-better' company that sponsors Mrs. Griffin cuts ties with her and a major news
company decides not to ask the comedian back for their annual show at Christmas.
A non-Muslim holiday may I add, that some bus-travelling Coptic Christians in Egypt will not
be celebrating this year.

Because of some antiquated ideas of security and the greater concern of the same country
that the flame-haired Mrs. Griffin lives her lifestyle, a long established special task force who's
ultimate focus is to protect the White House and the President, investigates the incident.

The Secret Service wish to make sure their employer and the most politically-powerful man
in the world is not in harm's way, so they check out any danger.

This incident closely resembles the atrocities going on in lands that the USA's men and women
are currently fighting in and for some, this awful action of head severing can be a reality.

Mrs. Griffin is an adult and knows her lifestyle is promoted by entertaining such gallant men
and women who are away from home and loved -ones at the behest of their Commander-in-Chief.
So she holds up a likeness of a bloodied and severed head of their boss in the name of art
and humour.

Sections of the US political world condemn her actions, other areas believe it's good public
relations to no longer sponsor and employ her....

And all of this is Donald Trump's fault?!

It's not four-dimensional chess and it's not a false morality perception by those who favour
their President. It's just some people live a lifestyle far beyond the standard level of adult
accountability.

He's your President, for heavens sake... have some respect.

Quote:He's your President, for heavens sake... have some respect.

I couldn't agree more. BUT...

While what she did was f'n horrid, this isn't something new and it sort of reminds me of a certain saying about the "shoe being on the other foot". For the last 8 years I was in an email chain of politically themed emails from some very VERY conservative co-workers of mine. Most everybody knows that I don't get worked up over "my side vs. your side" of politics so they included me in their "anti-everything on the left" emails.

But seriously, Obama and his Mrs. hanging from trees, in gorilla enclaves at a zoo, cross-hairs on their heads, dressed up as transvestites being sodomized by people in white hoods, you name it. 8 entire years of "he's your president, have some respect" were spit on and laughed at. Shoe, meet other foot. There wasn't an excuse for such blatant and disgusting lack of respect for the office then and their shouldn't be now.

Just keep that in mind when painting the left with the colors of their worst voices: They learned it from the worst on the right and I wouldn't point my finger at any of you just because of 8 years worth of vial emails.

Yep, I've seen them.
There are websites and Youtube videos were the gender of Mrs. Obama is seriously pondered, even
here on this site.
There are cartoons where Barack Obama is painted as a Muslim and it's been commented on many
of the negative things Mr. Obama did without the MSM broadcasting it.

It's suggested that the previous President wasn't born in the USA and the documents that prove it
so, are still under debate in some areas. Ted Nugent and others slurred Barack Obama and Hillary
Clinton.

Eight years of racist bigotry from those who voted against Obama compared to the meagre months
Trump has been in power is certainly something that should be taken into consideration.
I mean, Trump is rich and white, Trump struggles to understand the nuances of the Beltway
and let's face it, the electorate picked him because of the alternative.

Social media is stuffed to the gills with this juvenile sh*t and it's done to get the rise... to bring
an angry response so that the user can take another swing at somebody who has a different view.

But for myself, it's not whether Mrs. Griffin is left or right and it's not because she's woman or
a man (which I think Alec Baldwin can be pinned with this as well)...and it's not that it could fall
under the heading of a hate-crime, none of these things really bother me as an adult

The actual act doesn't really bother me and if it's art, then it's art.
In fact, when she apologised for the fallout, I genuinely thought it just slip away and be filed
with the many Hollywood insults about a strange-haired wealthy white man who isn't very bright.

Although I thought the comment...
"It's hurtful to me," Griffin said. "There's a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me and
I'm just here to say that it's wrong." -was a bit much. This implied she knows that old white males
did this deliberately and yet she offered no evidence for such a claim.

What bothers me is that the lack of self-responsibility Mrs. Griffin shows by saying it's the
President's fault that her career has been destroyed. This wasn't a photo-shopped image made
up in a kid's bedroom and it isn't a something that was done to get a subtle message across
that had merit.

It was deliberate and there was someone else who created the effigy and someone who took the
photograph. There were publishers involved and together, that image was produced.
Just like Marilyn Manson did last December.

Cause and effect is another good saying and I think Mrs. Griffin's outcry should be more aimed
at the echelon of CNN and the Directors of 'Squatty Potty' than the guy she attempted to ridicule.

I cannot state that President Trump contacted these companies and demanded a type of financial
revenge, but again, cause and effect is an action all adults should be aware of.

It's the over-all juvenile, dumbed-down mentality that's the real problem here.
People hate or dislike President Trump for who he as a person and not the station he commands.
And just like those who came before him, he has to take the nastiness on the chin... just as Kathy
Griffin should do too.

My own personal disappointment is being witness to the steady dilution of the lofty post of the
American Presidency and I'm not even American!!

On a side-note, here's a piece from an article about Mr.s Griffin's latest situation.
'Rosie O’Donnell tweeted about the infamous stunt. “[And] she apologized right away — she made a
mistake and owned up to it — more than we can say for HIM,” the 55-year-old wrote, referring to
Trump.'

Owning up to it was a mistake...? You see, juvenile behavior.

I just read a reply to a post on FB that her attorney doesn't have a license to practice in the U.S., so I don't know what she hopes to accomplish by hiring her.   tinybighuh

Actually the post on FB is wrong.

Being as she is the daughter to one Gloria Allred, she is legit.

Not sure why she's representing Griffen being as Kathy is the only one besides the photographer who made the decision to do that.

Of course, now she's taken a page from Hillary's playbook where she is trying to play the so-called 'victim'.... nope she didn't blame the Russians, only Trump and his wretched family.

I did not know what a vile person she is, but her past comments towards Sarah Palin and her kids, talking about going after them, is one sick person.

She even made remarks back in Dec. about taking "Trump and his son Barron down".

Who even thinks like that???
Purposely going after kids.

KG is one crazy bitch from the sounds of it.

If this is all just a publicity stunt, it sure is a good one, although not the kind I would want connected to my name if I were her.

I can't scroll through FB without seeing her ugly face in some post every 3rd or 4th article!

ENOUGH!

STOP TALKING ABOUT THAT BITCH!
STOP GIVING HER WHAT SHE WANTS!   tinyangry
